with the following description on Craigslist and I approve I will paypal you $10.

-Its got to have less than 150k miles.

-Has to be 2000-2004. (previous body style)

-Has to be a standard.

-Has to be in nearby Connecticut. (CT, MA, RI, etc)

-Has to be no more than 3 grand.

I'm looking to buy a cheap Jetta and need help searching. If you find a car that fits the description above and i am interested you get $10 or more!

If you only have 3000 to spend, a jetta is the last car you should be looking at. First, theres no way you are finding one for that cheap, unless it has huge problems, or has 200k miles. Generally, they wont last that long anyway. VW has some of the most expensive parts on the market. Be prepared to deal with endless electrical, differential, and transmission problems in a 3k jetta.

I've already found 7 jettas under 3k with less than 150k miles. all fitting my desccription so you sir can take a seat.

no, he is still right, once something goes wrong with the computer inside you are going to get fucked by the bills. it would be better to get some older beater for a while till you get more money for a better car. or get a honda civic

that wasnt his point... so you take a seat.

his point was becauseit has so many miles on it your gonna get trucked with repair fees.... so have fun with those while you think this is a good deal now

You cant tell whats wrong with a car over the internet moron. The bluebook value for an 01 base model, no power windows with a 5spd in poor condition is 3000. You could get a better value than that in a japanese car.

VW is german?

And dont be fooled by a car with a block thats supposed to last a long time. My moms mercedes started falling apart at about 130k. We ended up getting more for the block alone than a dealership offered though. And that was when mercedes made tanks. mid-late 90s. That thing sounded like a fucking jet when you started it in the garage (outside its obviosly not as loud). Gear box went and most of the suspention was about to go from salt damage.

Oh ya, thats another thing. Cars dont last as long up north because they get eaten apart by salt half the year. If we didnt have that car in ohio for 6 years I wouldnt doubt that we would still have it. And brands like mini and smart are expensive to fix too because theyre bmw/benz. If you find an older chrystler mercedes used to make a lot of the dodge/chrystlers. We got the last model of pacifica that mercedes made and its quite the car.

Just my 00.02. I dont even have my full license yet though so dont be pissed if this was all common knowlege.

Actually its pretty nasty for cars here during the part of the winter that stuff can actually freeze during. They freak out because they dont know what to do and put way too much salt down.

And I lived in the area of cleveland that got lake effect snow the worst. There would be 3 ft at my house and a few inches downtown, which is right on the lake. weird I know.

ya he is right.....if something breaks,sorry...when something breaks you are going to be looking at a grand easy in parts and labor. my friend has a jetta exactly what you're looking for that he's poured money into becaues it breaks...he hates the car

you can prolly buy it if you want i'm in maine i'll take that 10 bucks now

oh it's the vr6 5 speed 120,xxx miles

this dude is a douche, hes not giving any of you guys $10 so just stop. oh and VW jettas suck, i drove one and it wouldnt start if it was under 30 degrees, and would stall out of it was raining. good luck tho dude, but not really.

this

i drive my moms old audi

some guy like bumped into me at the gas station and we both needed a new bumper

his was like $500 and he had a newer chevy

mine was $2200 and my car is a 10 year old audi

they don't make parts for them in the us, and they are just harder to work on

autozone won't even install a battery for u if u buy a new one from them (they will for american cars)
