I went skiing today.

Yeah, most of the progress anyone made with blowing snow has been extremely set back. One of my coworkers from the summer makes snow at Sunday River and said they had made a decent amount but haven't been able to do shit for the past week or so.

Was gonna set up a rail at Oak on NY with my buddy but he bailed. Had several inches here and some snowbanks..

Should be on snow in a week or two. Will prolly wait till i get to washington to unpack gear though. Pulling it out in tahoe and then repacking might be too much if a hassle. Car will be very tetris style packed.

This. It’s not fair, we had some snow a week or two ago but it seems like we’re having our second summer now. What’s the point of it getting dark at 4:30 if there’s not even any snow?
 
It's still t-shirt and shorts weather here in chicago and none of the wisconsin hills are open i'm so fucking done with this shit ong
 
We got an election day storm in NE that dumped 8-14 inches along the spine of the Greens, skinned up MRG and got some of the best turns I've had out east.

...fast forward to now and its been above 70 for like 5 days in a row, ugh. At least the biking is still good.

When I woke up to that one day of snow, everything was fine for 12 hours until it melted :(
 
Nowhere even close to consistent freezing temps here in pa for the rest of the month... very tempted to make the haul to Minneapolis and hit up some rope parks there over thanksgiving break
 
Pretty much every place's opening day got pushed back too which sucks. But I just checked and pretty much every night in Vermont from now on is below freezing so I'd count on a decent amount of places to be open by the 20th.

I can't wait to get out. Should be in the next 2 weeks. I think our opening day is tentatively the 20th at Crystal. But even if not if there's snow I'll tour a bit.

I haven't ridden since march 12th ish other than 1 day touring and 1 day hitting urban. Friggin jonesin for some turns.

Got lucky on my trip to Bozeman in October and came in the night of a massive dump. First day touring of the season. Back in CA now and Big Bear alleges they're opening next week... gimme all of it

Update. All the snow you see in that post? Yeah that’s GONE. It got warm and rained a lot and literally all of that snow was eaten within a week. Pretty grim reality but still hopeful..
 
here in wisconsin it looks like its not supposed to get cold at all. forecast shows 40s during the day and 30s at night for all of december. fuck that. worse yet the mountain 5 mins from my house hasnt blown ANY snow, because the staff is lazy AF. literally every other resort in a 2 hr radius has almost covered their mountain. But mine? fuck no. /end rant im pissed af
