I went skiing today!!!

Hey man, I got tracks up on Great Northern just recently--good to hear some other flatheaders getting some turns already!
 
i remember 2 years ago when we had like 8 inches and we set up some boxes and rails in a park and the gay city of great falls confiscated them
 
I'm going up to Frazier Lake on sunday, but I don't know if I'll be skiing...I'll bring up the stuff and if there's enough snow I'll do it.
 
^there's a bunch of snow in the basin above fairy lake and i think the forest service is leaving the gate open til jan 1
 
Why would they leave the gate open that long? You can't drive it after there's more than 8" of snow, and you can just go around the gate on a snowmobile; is it just for convenience or something?
 
^ no idea. that's just what the forest service lady said. their just gonna end up closing it after a ton of people get stuck.
 
I went again today. About a foot @ Blacktail, not enough for anything stubstantial, but I built a little 15 foot cliff drop with a landing and stuck a 180 off of it. I also managed to break my rock skis when i caught a rock on my first hit, and they snapped in front of the binding instead of releasing.
