so im gettting a new car but it might not always be driveable because i might be working on it, and i have always wanted ot buy ride a fast bike. where should i start,i have never been on a bike before , i want something fast and under 10k. if i bought one where would i learn to ride it and what do i have to do to get a bike license. thanks
 
get yourself like a used 600 like a Suzuki 600GSX or a CBR600rr or even a Yamaha R6 those r good beginner bikes to start out with!
 
Do u have a Harley Davidson dealership around or anything?if u do usually they will have a class u can take sorta like drivers ed but when u pass it u become automatically certified and it will make your insurance soo much cheaper!thankfully i live in Montana so we dont have to have it insured,but its the smart thing to do!
 
aprillia 125rs, and to get a license, at least in colorado, you basically need to know how to make a left hand turn and to shift, thats it.
 
inn oregon the test for a motorcycle endorsement is pretty hard. some of my friends have been riding dirtbikes and such and have failed. definately learn to ride a dirtbike first or you will kill yourself.

same thing for me , minus the fast part. I want a dirt bike because i cant really MTB this summer due to laziness and up hill is gay so i want a yz 250 R .looking to spend about 2500 for an 02 or newer bike and learn on that, my plan is find a big field and ride it for liek 5 hours straight for an entire week , get my liscense and then take the country roads to work. jea jea im excited, il get it mid june. im stoked.pluys gas is gonna be liek 4.50 a gallon this summer.
 
Are you sure? I am pretty sure in MT we have to have a bike insured. I am pretty sure my dad had his bike insured. And you have to have a bike license incase you are pulled over.

And to the kid who started this thread. If you just go out and buy a bike that is going to take you well over 100mph and you have never riden any type of motor bike before, you are just asking for an early death. I would def. get someone to let you ride thier dirt bike to get used to riding before you go out and buy a crotchrocket and wreck it and yourself in the first 10 miles.
 
he would kill himself on that. haha. my suggestion would be to get an old ass bike cheap first because youre gonna drop it a few times...at least you wont be droppin a hella nice new bike. also, i wouldnt go about 600cc cause they are fast as hell as it is. the 1300cc busa will kill you.
 
thats too big of a bike for this guuy man a 1300 fuck that plus u need to be pretty big for one of those.the handling sucks too but the top end power is fuckin sweet!
 
no its a bit different u have o get use to the weight and torque.think about it 165rhp to what ever u have in a 3oolb bike thats insane! my budddy has a 500rwp 1300 Hyabusa its fuckin crazy but he only use it on the salt flats and dragstrips.
 
go buy a 500 dollar 1980's bike

your GOING to drop it. might as well not have to cry about it

then in a few weeks youll probably be ready.

buy something between 600-750 CC depending on your weight.

Buy used cause not matter what bike you get you will drop it within your first year of ownership. Again, better to scratch up a 3000 dollar bike then a 10000 one.

then next year buy something "fast"
