way back when i joined NS was the shit, people gave u props no matter what u could do as long as u were progressing, now everyone says whatever you do is terrible unless it involved a d-spin 10 oposite tweaked mute, fucking A we cant all be pro's

this year was one of my best years i went from onlypenciled three's and a few grabs to being able to do double kink's to 270 off, and 900's and 3's& 5's with grabs

back in the day i could have posted pictures of that stuff and got props, now all id here is, 'thats gay' 'no style' and about 400,000 other repeat coments that people give who dont give a fuck

i hate all the new people that are on here that think that just because they ski they earn the right to talk shit on this website

ya people shouldn't hate on each other just because they are not a pro. They should be happy that they are just progressing the sport, and getting more people involved and getting the word out

 
sometimes constructive criticism is a good thing, but I also think that people shouldnt be so slow to give props to someone. Despite what you may think, no one thinks that you are a bad ass if you just sit there and rip someone a new one because they didnt do something with enough style. For all we know, that 'badass' is a 280 lb. 5'4' 13 year old that thinks that he is the shit because he can throw a corked 1080 on his computer game and thinks that somehow that contributes to his skill.

that's right. do we, skiers, want to end up looking like the new wave of skateboarders/snowboarders? being super intimidated to step foot in a skatepark just because you know if you suck, everyone's gonna rip on you and make you never wanna come back jsut because of that. and yea i know most of us could care less what people think about us, but if you've been there like i have, with that skatepark crap, its pretty degrading. i think the skiers need to be super tight with eachother and just enjoy the sport together, at our little Tyrol Basin ski hill, the twin tippers weren't always cool with eachother, but this year, all us local skiers are super tight, i could ski with any of them and have a blast even if ive only said like 3 words to them.

^Already the case among many useless, crappy snowboarders, the 12-17 year olds who can't do shit but yell at people from the lifts, so we have to put up with their crap on the hill too. I always say something back to them, and if I'm stuck on the lift with those fuckers, I never let them off the hook for doing it. The worst ones this season were these 3 asian guys with rental boards and full, brand new burton gear, making fun of an 8 year old skiier who fell after stalling on a mini wallride... then they all fell within 2 seconds of getting off the lift. People who snowboard/ski to look cool suck. Assholes on the mountain MUST be punished. It'd make skiing so much more fun.

^ WORD i love trashing the pieces of shit that come to our hill who talk shit and cant back it up..

For example:

a snowboarder (obviously a poser) asks me why i have twin tips just to get me going. so i give the usual responce to go off and land jumps backwords. of course he says 'can U actually do that' i say yeah, he asks me my favorite trick asuming i cant do shit. i tell him 900 on jumps and the 40' double kink. so i ask him his best trick and he quietly says a 540. I see him go and try to spin and lands on the back.
