Terribly so.

I'd rather have sushi than sex right now.. and thats saying a lot for a horny heterosexual male such as myself...

i had some sushi tonight... it wasnt that good. if your ever in san fran go to blowfish, its the best sushi ive ever had.

confession: I have gotten cravings so bad that I have actually bought those little $10 packages of maki rolls from the local grocery store just to get my fix.

I bartend a couple nights a week at my buddies sushi bar, so good. If you are ever in Crested Butte you have to go to Lil's, best sushi i have ever had in my life. My favorite roll is the crunchy royal. It has tempura shrimp, cream cheese, avacado, and peppers in the middle, and then it is topped with Ahi sashimi, sesame seeds and unagi sauce. MMMMMMM that is definitly what i am eating tonight.

we just had a new sushi place move into town... i have to say i couldn't be happier with the quality of sushi provided here, especailly considering i'm at least 1000 miles from the sea in any direction

FUCK YES. MY BUDDY IS COMMING OVER WITH A FAT J AND PICKING ME UP FOR SUSHI. I JUST SAW THIS THREAD.. WOW THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE. caps. woops

Go to all you can eat sushi for 10$ it is soo good, its like a game you have to order it all the the begining...and try to maximize the utilization. Then they rbing food and usualy they think you order too much so your liek fuck they didn't bring all of my food, then you ask them where the rest is and they are liek little fucks and then they give you way more and your like shit now i gotta eat all of this why did i open my mouth, and anything you don't eat you have to pay for......so its actually a kickass game. This is at the all you can eat sushi on Lonsdale in North Vancouver.

sushi is my favorite meal!!!

i could eat it ll day long...except id prolly get sick if i ate it all day!!!

anyonme ever been to nakatos???

go there and get the special roll and its like an orgasm in your mouth!!!

its the best sushi i have ever had!!!

i would eat it all day if it wasn't so damn expensive. every so often though, a group of buddies and i will drop about 500 dollars on a meal. amazing.

my friend maxed out his credit card on sushi this passed weekend. luckily, ive had sushi like 3 times as well without doing so. its just so damn good

its painful to watch people eat california rolls though, and it happens all the bloody time around here. shit is fucking nasty and its all fake

when im broke, ill still eat sushi, when im not, i eat too much sushi

^fuck yea! i dont get why people get that shit!! caterpillar roll, and i like those rolls with cream cheese. oh gawd.

Oh my god. SO! Today I had my fix for lunch.

Spider Rolls

Godzilla Rolls

Caterpillar rolls

Black Dragon Rolls

Flower Rolls

and

Rock'n Rolls

I swear to god I've never had such a fantastically amazing amount of sushi in my life.

Cost me a shitload too, but it was so worth it. I was hungry and so was my bro.

Be jealous everyone.

I bought all of the sushi ingredients and been making my own sushi and all sort of Japanese food at home lately. Waaaaaaay cheaper then going to a sushi bar and dropping $75 for two.

FYI. making the rice is about 325346234634 times harder than you think. Unless you've taken sushimaking lessons from a chef and have known how to do it for years now...

Sushi is fucking tedious to make. I'd rather just trust some Japanese guy to do it for me. That way its done RIGHT.

and for all the stuff I posted above. I dropped 45, which isnt bad for a sushi place in the SF Bay Area.

I keep meaning to go to Yo Sushi everytime I'm at Victoria in London but I always end up with sandwiches from W H Smiths (they do falafel sandwiches - yum)

I have been making it on my own and do realize that it's somewhat pain in the ass, but it's not rocket science. On top of that I'm not making sushi for profit or to impress somebody, but for my own personal satisfaction and interest in Japanese cooking.

get a rice cooker. none of that boxed instant rice crap.

buy some good old japanese rice, rinse so that the water runs clear, steam in PROPER rice cooker w/ 2 parts water 1 part rice (less water for more stick).

i may be chinese, but we know a thing or two about rice too.

I already use Short Grain Premium Japanese Rice and cook it together with Kombu for flavoring and use authentic rice vinegar to finish it with. I wish I could take some Japanese cooking classes but they don't offer them around here, so books and internet is the only way I can learn.
