I WANT ROCKERED SKIS!

Hi everyone, I just saw IDEA and now I want a pair of rockered skis. They look so fun to fuck around on.

Anyways,

I am in a dilemma. I won't be buying these in the near future, probably more around Christmas or ask for them for Christmas. My dilemma is which ones to get. I definitely am going for Hellbent or EP pro. I like the graphic on the EP pro more, but Hellbent comes in more sizes. I have felt and flexed Hellbent in person and they seem pretty sick. What is Ep pro like compared to it?

Now for sizing. I am 5 9 and 125 pounds but I am still growing. I know this are both fairly soft skis so I know flex won't be a matter. I am more worried about length. I plan to ski mostly soft snow/pow on these but I may fuck around with them in the park a bit. I'd like to be able to spin on them too. So my question is, do I go for the 169 Hellbent which is said to be more of a 175, go for the 179 Hellbent which is said to be more of a 185 or go for the EP pro, which is the same size as the 179 Hellbent. Currently, I can ski on a 180 center mount ski, if that helps you answer the question.

Thanks for helping.

if I were you'd I'd get the 169 cuz it's not like hellbents aren't gonna float enough and that way they'd be more fun for you in the trees and stuff.

Comming from Nick, the Hellbents are a beefy ski. I would say go no longer than 169. Just think, the rocker is really going to help floatation, and they are pretty wide. A 179 would ge alot of ski for you, especially at your weight.

So then what's the difference in that and the EP pro? I've heard the 179 is exactly the same pretty much as the Ep pro except for width and stiffness. Is this correct?

Are you saying it in a way of like WTF is wrong with you or like am I actually going to have them at some point in this season?

Maybe, depending on if I really decide I want to fork out the cash, or get them for Christmas if my parents pay for like half. I still haven't decided though if I want them or Ep pros. Aren't you getting a pair of bents?

im seriously thinking about it, its just that i have those like 03 182 scratch BCs for park and it would be really nice to have a better park ski but i dunno. im fuckin pumped on the bents, mad butters and i wanna build alot more bc booters this year. and i get a sick deal on them cause im working at nssb, but the cash situation aint too good right now.

Ya dude, I really wanna ski more pow this season. After watching IDEA and Believe that is all I wanna do. And the Bents look good anywhere too, so I'm thinking about it. I have a pair of perfect park skis already so I don't have to worry about that. But I don't have $850 to spend on the Bents at this moment. (that's what they are right?). Anyways, can anyone give me a comparison between the 179 bent and 185 Ep pro. I've been told they are the exact same length.

i have no idea but just call or email them. whenever you call a company they seem to hook you up anyways.

Alrite, I checked all the US sites including REI, Evo, Backcountry, and Altrec and they all have some sort of contract that doesn't allow them to ship to Canada. Fuck.

thats shitty. find someone who lives by an REI to do it. shit i was just in one in mn and would have done it.

i havent riden the ep pros, but ive flexed a friends, they were soooo soft, like unbelievable, i felt comfortable on the bents everywhere besides bumps they were fun just to jib around on

NEW QUESTION

For my height and weight would Lizzies or SFB's be better? Again I am growing quite a bit and I would mount dead center.

why are you asking about lizzies and sfb's wen you just said you wanted rockered skis. and 179 hellbent would be good but keep in mind theyre really heavy

That's why I am asking about other skis to make sure I'm making a good choice. And don't SFB have a small rocker to them?

hellbents 500 flat at the shop i work at.

i could get them for about 380 but im not going to because they are pretty useless

Although I'm sure Moment is legit, I'd rather go with a better known company, and then maybe check out the Moment's in a year or two.

when i got my season pass yesterday they had ep pros there i flexed them and they were so unbeleivabley flexy (flexyer then i jib snowboard) but i wanted them so badly

im sure pollard knows what hes doing making them so flexy

go with the ep pro's i think they will be indcredibel

I got a pair of 06/07 line elizabeths shipped from jibij.com to canada. and I didnt pay any customs fees whatsoever, I think they used dhl for their courier. I ordered some reno rockers from moment who use UPS and had pay more than $120 CDN on customs/brokerage fees. So try and avoid UPS if you can. Bottomm line jibij.com can hook you up. Look into the moment ruby with a rocker though (180cm). Moment use an aspen core which makes them light as hell.

179 Bent and Ep Pro are the same size, EP are a little wider and mayber a little softer, the recomended mounting point on the EP is 2cm back from true center
