I wanna see a d-spin 7

no its a cork 7 that goes upside down after the first 360 degrees... you pretty much throw you head back half way through a cork 7 to do them

come on guys. Mike douglas was trying to do back fulls but couldnt stay on axis and coined the term D-spin (d for douglas) to described his corked back fulls. it was also called a mobius during the hot dog days.

Indeed.

gnarly, but kinda cheating. they are landing on the super low part of the landing, tanner was aiming for the high spot.

Yeah totally, Candide is a pussy. He also cheated by using skinny skis on the jump.

^^ The clip is from Further by TGR. That stuff was filmed in 2000 when 540 no-grabs, skier slides to forward, and backflip iron crosses were all the rage in the park. Backcountry jumping, as we know it today, didn't exist. Candide was so far ahead of his time.

Cork 7 = Off axis towards the lip of the jump while spinning 720. Before you land you spin back around forward for a balanced landing on the landing.

D-Spin 7 = Off axis towards the lip of the jump while spinning 720. Rather than coming around back forward for the landing, you flip underneath yourself to come back around for the landing.

go watch royalty, phill larose (might be bellanger haha i havnt watched it in awhile) does one of the best steazzest d-7s ever with a nice tweaked out tail grab. i dont think anyone else has ever done a better one
