And I feel as if my first year was all in fucking vain!!!! the dems are getting their asses kicked cause we have a conciensce and we aren't the big businesses. theres still hope for strickland but its still close. i shouldnt say it was a waste!!! WTF?!!?!?! this is one of the biggest elections in fifty years.. i dunno, im just getting depressed cause the repubicans are rolling over our poor, underdog asses.

I'm not 15, I'm 22. And you should settle down. Think about why there are more republicans in office...because more people vote for them. I know it's a hard concept to grasp, but I think you can get it.

im democratic because we care more about small business, the environment, peace, more the republicans. although we dont care enough at all.

i am green party....but i know it unrealistic for them to get in office, and i'd much rather see dems in their then republicans.

As for peace...Lyndon Johnson, a Democrat, sent us to war in Vietnam, and Clinton, a Demoncrat, sent us to another civil war in Yugoslavia. Hmmm.

Oh yeah, and most liberals want to increase tax on the 'wealthy'. Did you know that the top 50% of wage earners in this country pay 96.09% of all taxes? This is from the IRS. And, if you are sitting in front of a computer right now and can afford to ski, you are probably tied to this bracket.

I attend a very liberal university. It is also funny how hipocritical people are. There are a bunch of very liberal and environmentally concious people in a class of mine. Nice people, don't get me wrong, but they make me laugh. They cry no oil drilling, save the forests, and recycle while most of them talk on their cell phones, drive an expensive SUV, drink bottled water, and write huge on one side of a piece of paper. I care about the environment, don't get me wrong, but it's just funny.

 
I get to vote next year for the first time- I have to enroll. It's compulsory to vote over here, so I don't really get a choice!

Here's how I see all of this..I could be wrong and correct me if I am. These next two years the republicans will be running the show, and therefore will be able to pass the legislation that suits them, without being able to blame a democratic congress etc. Therefore, if our country has a sucky 2 year period (war, economy) they will have no one else to blame but themselves, thus making it easier for a Dem. to win in 04. If everything goes well great, I don;t root against republicans but thats just how i see it.

You are right about it going well or bad affecting the next election. I hope we get into better economic times soon...I graduate from college in a year and a half. A job would be nice.
