I know this song is used in something, i know some kid on here used it for his edit of rails and such, so not that video. I know its in something else, i think it was a snowboard movie trailer. Anybody know?

the band has a lot of similar songs. all of which are very trendy to use in snowboard videos. try the new keegan valaika (sp?) part from 'In Colour'. It's on vimeo. Probably part of the year too.

Thats not 40 day dream, thats Janglin.

The reason i wanted to know its because it was really bothering me that i couldn't find the video i originally saw with the song.
 
Can't help you, BUT, I saw Edward Sharpe live in August, and I would recommend going to see him anytime he comes near, such a sick show!
 
If this was snowboarding/skating, the question would be what video doesnt use 40 day dream. Oh well, I guess its time NSG found out about Edward Sharpe anyway..
 
Like MGMT, Edward Sharpe's music just lends itself to being paired with images. There's at least 4 songs on that LP perfectly suited to a ski/snowboard segment. Annnnd....judging by the slew of examples of people using them, I'd say I'm not alone in thinking so.
I wonder if anyone could put their finger on why it works so well?
 
It's got a oldschool vibe to it, but with a new, alternative rock style. the two things people look for when choosing rock/not hip hop or techno music for their videos
