I told you Look wouldn't do away with the axial heel. They just "revised" it, and I bet it's going to be even better.

I fucking give up. Just because they have a dildo on the back does not mean they're axial. The axial requires the turntable plate. It's the important part of the mechanism. I HAVE SEEN THESE IN PERSON, HELD THEM AND PICKED THEM UP. They don't have turntables.

Next year's rossi scratches, however, DO have them.

no pivot heel, and those two litle bars aen't on them either...so it's definately a pooor binding compared to the past ones

i saw the rossignol ones too, and they also didn;t pivot or have the bars...so maybe some rossis have them, and some don't?

I have faith in LOOK but they shouldn't have changed anything about the old binders, they are fine and I have never had a problem with my p12 jibs

I respect Look for trying to make a better bindings, even though they're already the best. We'd have the same bindings for decades.

I do not know, I've only seen the 140s. I would guess it's the whole series, but that's just my assumption.

it has side angle release at a certain degree but doesn't pivot in hand I think. Look did that in the 80's when there bindings just had the wires and heel clip and still released to the side but the axial is not there.

Sorry fellers but I'm with J.D. on this one. You guys need to inspect the bindings more closely.

Notice that the pivoting table where the heel plate of the boot contacts is missing. The dildo is still there but has no bearing on the fact that the actual turntable is gone. It's the turntable that's the crucial part in the elastic travel necessary for a good freeride binding.

If Rossignol is the only binding with the Axial heel, then that's what I'll be buying. I've loved my P12's forever, and they've loved me back, and I need more Axial-heel loving, or else thou shalt pre-release and such terrible events shall occur...

^Rossi doesn't have the axial anymore either on most of their bindings. The Scratch bindings are the only ones that still have it, much like the 2006 look jib pictured on that site.

has anyone had the brake rip off on their rossi bindings. ive had both brakes rip off the 140s on my twins, and my lil sis had her brake rip off a couple years ago

 
^Yeah, it's one of the bigger issues with them, especially on switch landings. Luckily it's an easier part to replace than, say, the toepiece.

yeah. but its still a pain in the ass, since ive broken it on both skiis. and now i gotta shell out another 250 for a new set, although they were my old race bindings.

still a good binding though

The scratch series and the jib series from look are going to be the new heelpiece, not the turntable style. The binding that jd has spotted was because of a last moment production change.

what you're buying new bindings because the brakes went? You can replace the brakes for 15 bucks. Unless I misread you

its clear that the axial heal is gone but I think their is a racing binding for next year with it anyone have details?

dude im sure they are just as good if not a better binding. they are not going to put time and money into releasing a binding that is worse than one they have out. you people are stupid.

 
that's the Rossi FKS bindings. Or the Look P18. They've had that binding for years. In fact basically it's the original pivot binding.

although this bindings does not have the turntable, im sure look came up with a technology that works just as well if not better. They know what skiers look for in a bindings and im sure this binding will kick ass. Just wait and see

I wouldn't trust that 'new ' axial heel as much. I 'm afraid that Rossi do a lot of what's going to sell best and something that looks like the axial heel but costs half is gonna market better.

Anyways the brake and toe plate are garbage. Had to replace both toeplates on my axial 120s already and the brake keeps falling off.

that goes for look as a whole. Cool technolgy but a little wimpy construction in some details here and there.

Still the turntable rocks.
