I thought we decided no autoplay?

Now these commercials on the front page autoplay, then when they are done, It "connects to server" and freezes my shit up for like 30 seconds. Can i turn it off? The media player is the only thing on NS that my comp ever has problems with.

I am now avoiding the Home page completely, the old player was way better, it did'nt have to connect to server, and it did'nt autoplay, you could play it only if you wanted
 
I missed the first thread about that. You have my support, I hate it when the movies start downloading without my permission.
 
I really don't like it. I was just about to make a thread when I saw this. It is the most annoying thing ever. It's super hard to be stealthy when in school and suddenly a video starts playing. I also thought we were cutting down on flash ads? I've seen atleast 3 on the top in the past week!
 
it just smashes my bandwidth - i share a 10gb connection with 3 others and it gets raped by autoplaying videos
 
But when it "connects to server" it still freezes my shit up for a good 30 seconds to a minute, any suggestions?
