I thought i8van was legit?

I hate to have to do this because I thought i8van - Ivan Sharko was a very legit and talented member, but he has definitely dropped the ball on my purchase from him.

On Sept. 3 , I purchased 7 prints for $60. When I received them, they showed up looking like this:

The quality of the prints was really poor, but that wasn't even my issue of concern. I had told him beforehand how much I appreciated his work and how I wanted to hang the prints in my new apartment. Instead, I received prints with huge creases on all of them.

It would be one thing if they were shipped properly, and I could make a case to the postal service for the damage, but he shipped them in a plastic bag! No poster tube, no box, no rubber band, no padding, nothing....I can understand him shipping them as such if these were free posters, but I had paid $60 and said I intended on framing and hanging them.

ivan, i got the prints but am pretty dissapointed b/c they came folded

It's been 2 months. I have not seen anything and have tried to contact him through both PM and email without receiving a response. The messages all show as "unread" even though he frequently logs on - last login was yesterday, Dec 8.

If anyone knows Ivan and might be able to help me out, I would really appreciated it.

 
hey i was just about to order stuff from there dang thanks. and u know why ur messages r apperaing unread is beacuse he is checking them by goin to my ns and then cliking mesageas if u do tht they still appear unreadhe is doing tht to make it look like he has not seen your messages. dude ivan get it right man give her her miney back or send new posters and this time give it to her in the quality she paod for it in.
 
deffinitly sad to see a well respected member/artist such as ivan do something like this, hopefully he can make up for your loss and everything will work out.

I really hope this gets sorted out because I really want to make a purchase, but there is no way I am going to pay for a mashed up print.
 
I am going to give Ivan the benefit of the doubt, i doubt he has been ignoring you, but i will give him a heads up, hopefully this will give resolved asap.
 
I have dealt with him before. Before he blew up he did a site design for me to help me out. Everything about the experience was legit. Seemed like a good person.

However now that he has sold some t-shirts and some prints it seems that shit has gone to his head. He claims to have never helped me out with a site, and won't respond to anything from me.

I honestly don't think any of the shit he is doing these days is even that legit, he has a massive ego now and it's a shame because he used to be a mad legit guy and cared about making sure those he worked with got quality shit.

I would not buy any of his stuff these days, and it's a shame cus stuff like this will make it hard for him to continue his run.

Sorry to hear he screwed you over, I'd file a claim if you can, or make sure to keep this bumped.

Also let the mods know about this, he should not be allowed to sell here anymore if that is the way he is going to treat people.
 
thats really shitty.. if i were you i would of gotten all of his info like Home numbers cell numbers all of that.. thats the only way i would deal with someone on here..
 
That's really unfortunate - I too had always held i8van as a legit guy.

My cousin bought a hoodie from him, and obviously messing up a hoodie is much harder than messing up a print, because packaging is so much easier, but everything went well there and my cousin had nothing but good things to say about him.

I want to take his side on this, and I'm sure he'll eventually see this thread but its definitely not okay that he even sent you the prints like that in the first place, let alone promised you more and hasn't sent them. I'll send him a PM about it, maybe he'll read mine since he hasn't been reading yours.

I'm really sorry for you, and I hope everything works out. Its sad to see an up-and-coming artist failing on basically simple stuff such as customer service and shipping. Good luck!
 
haha that would be his russian side showing...but i talked to him and obviously he is alert of the problem so guys chill...he done many great transactions...ill give him half a week to respond and if not i can pm you his number, i really dont want to have to resort to that and i am sure hes just busy with his finals...

To those who are saying he's legit and they have confidence he will work it out - hopefully that is the case and he will pull through. His reputation of being legit is why I have waited so long and given him so much time before saying anything - to the point that now it is too late to file a paypal claim.

Thanks also to those who helped me ask him whats up. I'm still not sure though why he can acknowledge your messages but not mine if he admits he messed up. I am PMing him again now, and hopefully he'll step up.

 
hmmz...seems kinda odd i have met and skied with ivan a number of times and he seems like a real nice guy...
also bought his OG shirt and everything went fine...

keep in mind ladies that it is coming up to the holiday season AND alot of people are writing finals.
which seems like a legitimate amount of time to answer a pm or email in your mind, might not be the case for someone else.
sticking up for a guy i dont know and have never met, give him a chance, and im sure he will come through.
and if he dosnt, then hes fucking retarded. cause with talent like his i would give my left nut for, theres no way i would blow it. especially over this
 
just to clarify though, it's been since early October that he has not replied... not these past few weeks. in the meantime, he has been on NS and replied to messages from others, so it seems pretty intentional.
 
this doesnt seem like Ivan, he is a really busy guy though so I would just try contacing him again.
 
This is very unfortunate. I8van either needs to refund you, send you new prints, or make it right somehow. I hate when things like this happen on this site especially when its from someone who I always thought was legit like I8van. It would be nice if we could hear his side of the story because as of now it seems like he is definitely in the wrong.
 
Wow I honestly want to hit him in the face with an axe reading his reply, it looks like a fucking 6th grader talking on aim. Possibly the most unprofessional thing I have ever seen. learn to spell fucker.

Sorry I am just not a fan of "aim" writing.
 
People saying that he could be busy with finals etc - thats fucking bullshit.

It doesn't take long to reply to a thread, or to resend a set of posters.

 
Thanks guys for all the responses. He messaged me saying he would send out the prints and a t-shirt. Not sure if he has sent it out yet, but I'll definitely give an update when I receive it.
 
^ Haven't received it yet. He messaged me on 12/26 saying he hadn't shipped yet and is out of town until 1/7... says he'll ship when he gets back. I'll keep you guys posted.
 
file a claim if you payed with paypal. he wont have a choice but to refund you or work something out. good luck
