I thought everyone knew about ns....

I asked 8 peeps at my local hill today if they knew where chads gap was, and yes they have twintips, hiking the park, decent skiing, no body could help me out. and even when they didnt say anything id be like "newschoolers.......?" nothing. one ns;er out of probly 15 skiers, and i only found out cause he had like 5 stickers on his helmet/

those people must have something better to do with their time then sit inside on the computer all day.

well ive encountered like 2 people who are on ns in the real world ever, its a big community but compared to the amount of skiiers out there its pretty small

same here, 3 not including the people who i have showed NS too. and yes for such a large community you think there would be more of us but there aint.

Really? In summit, I get people that come up to me and say "your Saya_SagStraps from ns right?". Its crazy, pratically every1 here has not enough life to do something better than talk about skiing -online-for hours-to destroy their already non existent social life-then ski- then ns- then sleep-lol.

thats weird, every kid I ask here that is dressed in baggy clothes, has twins, is hiking a rail, knows about NS

i asked a kid with ns stickers "do you know how to get to chad's gap from the botton of alta and he was clueless. he was on ns, but doesnt go on

The kid who originally asked that question 4 years ago hasn't logged onto NS in over 30 days. I bet he has no idea about that phrase being a newschoolers greeting. Most NS'ers only come to the site to watch videos anyway and rarely visit the forums, so they have no idea about that.

Has anybody else had one of your friends point someone out to you, and you don't know their name, but you know their ns name? hahaha happens to me all the time.

it took me over a year to figure out that there were forums. seriously, i only knew how to get to the pictures and videos and had no clue what a forum even was. i couldnt figure out how people had such high post counts just from commenting on pictures and videos, when they dont even go towards your post count, i was baffled. then one day i stumbled into the forums and the rest is history.

it seriously gets to be wierd. how can you ski for so long and not know about this site? and when you ask someone who has no clue, you have no idea how to explain the significance of this site..

oh shit the world ISNT coming to and end imagine that. not all the motherfuckers on the hill have a double identity, in cyberspazzee!!! good riddance charlie brown.

I have tried it 4 times. It worked 4 times. And that is the story of how I met keystoner1.

I went to Breck the other day, and I was with some rather unskilled friends who never followed me into the park. However, there was a cool guy rocking an NS sticker that hiked with me whenever I came through after a lap. I hope the store gets up again because I need to rep some stickers so others can call it out and we can ride.

i know plenty of decent skiers who dont know what ns is or ive told them about it but dont care to check it out but still always wonder how i know about whats going on in the skiing world
