I think there is a black widow in my bathroom

^^^^ looks like one. same size. and has a red marking. cant tell the shape of the marking though. will get pics later when someone is with me. i hate spiders! Anyone know if they are found in SW Ohio????
 
i just caught it in a jar, it curled up and is playing dead. what tricky little fucker. i have yet to confirm it identity. someone should google search it adn find out the range of habitats. im too scared too. a pic may show up!!!!

As the name indicates, the southern widow is primarily found (and is indigenous to) the southeastern United States, ranging from Florida to New York, and west to Texas and Oklahoma. Specimens have been found in California as well. The northern widow is found primarily in the northeastern US and southeastern Canada

So it could be a black widow.
 
yea, but they are not as poisonous as they are cracked up to be. there are other spiders in north america that you should be much more concerned about.
 
yea they are poisonous, if you were able to drip out all the venom in the spider in one shot.

but the amount of venom in one bite from the widow is not enough to kill you unless you are really irresponsible with your treatment.

btw, the male black widows are harmless, but should be killed anyways so they can't mate and reproduce more black widows in your area. it doesn't matter though, the male is gonna get killed anyways.

on camping trips, when my brother was bored, he used to find daddy long legs and pull out the legs one by one till there was only one left, so he could watch it drag its body by one leg.

Those brown recleus spiders look really really fucking scary, i ahte spiders, but i love snakes, ahhhh spiders blow so much!
