I went over to my friends house yesterday to go mountain biking, and when i got there he looked kind of spacey. He had his bike and stuff ready, but he ran up to his room to get something. I heard him fumbling around for something for about a minute. When he came down the stairs, he was stumbling. Definitely not just stoned or drunk, and acting really weird. I went into his room later, and I saw under his bed there are these big plastic containers, and the whole room has kind of an earthy smell. Any idea what he could be on? I've tried asking him but he just blows me off. I'm getting kind of worried.

I could believe that based on how he was acting, but that doesn't explain the smell. Also, how long does it take to take heroin? He was only up there for like a minute.

Maybe it was you who was on the drugs. None of that actually happened but because you took 20x what you are supposed to take of some drug you tripped major balls and now you are making up stories.
 
I think you friend is actually dead and is just roaming the house as a spooky zombie....

Alright, I'm going to take a look tomorrow. I looked into growing shrooms, and some people use boxes kind of like what he has.

Search his room, tell his parents, call the cops. That'll show him how much you really care about him and be guaranteed for him to make a full change and thank you for saving his life.

Dude is 18 and hasn't lived with his parents for 2 years. If it is just shrooms or something I'll drop it, but if he is in something serious I will talk to him about it. His life is worth more than a friendship.

yeah, confronting someone about a drug problem. That'll fix it.

but in all actuality if he wont tell you on his own it's not your business. You're not his Mom, let him know that if he needs to talk to someone you're there. Don't just bust into his room and look through his shit, he's 18 and lives by himself? I bet it was shrooms, I don't think mountain biking and heroin mix too incredibly.

For all you know he could just have allergies and jerks off a lot in his room.

I don't care if I'm being an overly suspicious asshole. I don't mean to get on your case, but if there is a chance he has something serious going on I want to try to stop him. I have seen what things like this do, and I'm not letting it happen to him if I can help it. Anyway /rant, its probably just shrooms.

Listen to what you're saying. If there's a CHANCE he has something serious and maybe there's a CHANCE you can do something to help him. You don't even fucking know if he has a problem. A lot of people do drugs, maybe he does, maybe he doesn't. Regardless of if he's clean or the worlds biggest junky you're being super paranoid or just looking for a new cause or something. You literally don't have any idea he has a problem, but in your head you've decided he has a huge life threatening problem and you need to save him. You're being over dramatic.

As far as drugs, they aren't necessarily bad. It's all in how they're used. Just because somebody drinks doesn't mean they're an alcoholic. Just because somebody uses drugs doesn't mean they're a drug addict/ junkie or have any kind of a problem.

Nobody goes up to their room and comes out a minute or two later tripping.

How do you know he wasn't drunk or stoned? You don't really seem like you know much about drugs.

Also another riveting observation. He could have been growing shrooms, he could have old shoes, a pet, or some other drugs in those containers. Even if he was growing shrooms that doesn't mean he was on shrooms. Maybe he just needs to open a window and clean his room.

Also, the way you're worrying about him suggests he has a massive drug habit and needs to be saved asap. People don't just grow a drug habit overnight.

Good for him for not telling you. You're being nosy, jumping to conclusions, being over dramatic, being annoyingly persistent, and not taking his hints that he clearly doesn't want to talk about it with you.

You should go become a dare officer or something. You sound perfect for that.

You don't know he has a problem, you don't really have much reason to even believe he's on drugs, you haven't seen him with any drugs, your only suspicion is that he has plastic tubs under his bed, his room smells bad, and he seems a little off one day, KILLING IT BRO.

He wasn't just a little weird, he was fucked up. And this has been a progressive thing, he has been more and more off. You are probably right though.

Try and talk to him then but be straight up. Tell him where you're at. If he doesn't want to talk to you respect that, don't be surprised if it makes things weird.

I have asked him several times in the last few months and he has always dodged the question. He and I have done acid together, and he kind of goes through phases of smoking weed everyday when he is bummed out. I haven't jumped to any conclusions, but I am worried. Its not like I will report him to the cops or anything, but I want to check on him, friendship be damned. In all honesty though, I think its probably just shrooms.
 
i was hiding under his bed and beat the shit out of him when he came upstairs. sorry he was so shooken up op.

Well he didn't go upstairs, take shrooms and come back down a few minutes later fucked up from them. I can assure you that.
 
You have done your part by showing your concern but thats really all you have the right to do. Unless he is clearly in danger from whatever he is doing just leave it and let him make his own choices.

Your kit for what? I have a testing kit so I know what drug I'm taking, but I don't think anyone would be too mad if they found that...
 
or its benadryll or something because he has seasonal allergies, I dunno it's really fucking bad right now where I live. Had to leave work early because I had a really fucked headache. When people ask me why i'm all fucked up I just say nothing, and I guess that could be confusing.

that would explain the smell, his grogginess ect.

I'm just looking for an explanation that doesn't lead to drugs because I really don't like when people assume i'm on something hard.

Or maybe he had the shrooms with him down stairs, and was chilling down there, took them then ran up stairs then put what ever he had thme in away

I'm on his bed, and my foot is literally against the box. Motherfucker won't get up to go to the bathroom or get a drink or anything. Still waiting.
