uhhh shit. i dunno, i've been getting decent grades this year and now for some reason i dont give a shit... i'm failing subjects i had 90's or above in (except math, that always brutally rapes my GPA) ...i KNOW i need to give a shit and i WANT to give a shit, but i just dont! like i go to do somthing like i normally would then i just flake off and say fuck it and some how talk myself into saying "this shit is pointless, dont even attempt it." i'm a junior in high school. am i fucked?

but seriously all these threads about fricken college acceptance are intimidating... i feel like i'm gonna have to go to one of those colleges you see advertised on tv... and be like a veterinary assistant for the rest of my life.

i'm just really scared cuz my parents keep telling me i wont amount to shit and skiing will take me no where.

fuck, im a junior too, ive always been on the honor roll during highschool this year, i have the same exact problem as you, but i end up on the computer until i figure out i have nothing to do there, talk to some people on aim, stay up until a bout midnight doing absolutely nothing even though every second i think about homework and what i should be doing but nothing ever happens, now i get straight c's by scraping some bullshit together on every test i have.
 
you are not fucked, universities usually only look at gr 12 marks and maybe 11 (at least in Canada), buck up and pick your shit up by then and you will be fine. Don't worry, my rents say the same thing just to scare me straight, shit's not that bad.
 
Dude, you just gotta push through the rough spots. We all feel unmotivated at times, but you have to think about what it all means. If you stop now, years later when you have a shitty ass job making 20k a year, you're going to be kicking yourself in the scrotum for being a lazy ass. Just keep trudging along, there's no time to rest until college is done (except for summers). Good luck.
 
its not worth slaking. i slacked junior year, in my math class. got my only c. my gpa was just .03 way from a really good scholarship. it stunk royal.

College's mainly look at your freshman through junior year. Once you're a senior, chances are you've taken the SAT/ACT and have already applied for colleges and financial aid. Don't make some shit up to make yourself and him feel better. And kid, get your shit straight son, it's not even worth it to slack off your junior year.
 
i love how making this thread was just to procrastinate wasnt it?, further fucking up your grades...yo grades are gay they kinda dont reflect ur effort when u get older especially at my school when asswipes kill exams and they cant remember how
 
Yea dont even worry about it.  I am finishing my second year at a 4 year college, and just now am i figureing out that a 2 year tech school will be the place for me.  If you dont know what you want to do, go in to college undecided and take a bunch of different classes, see what you like and run with it.  My mistake was that I took something with a clear cut job, but hated it and did terrible in those classes.

seriously though, work, if you get decent grades this year you dont have to do ANYTHING senior year...i mean, youll have to do SOME stuff, but you can basically space out and screw around the majority of the time and it wont matter...unless you got shitty grades junior year and you have to spend all year proving yourself to colleges...

I'm in college and still mess around on the computer until the last minute, if you can't get into a big college right away try for a two year extension and transfer!
 
i dont think youre ever screwed, especially if still in high school........ i was always smart, but never tried, id rather just party...... i graduated high school with a 65, then took time off. noone ever thought id do anything, i "was screwed"....... then 3 years later, i decided to go to community college, 4 semesters later, i graduate with a cumulative 4.0 and now i can go to any school i want, including harvard school of business, which i got accepted too recently, but dont think i can afford........moral of the story, you are never screwed, it can always be fixed, it might take a little more work this way, but i still end up where i want to be...... get on your grind now, or don't and make up for it later......
 
just start volunteering a LOT and join organization. These days, thats all colleges look at, what you can bring to the school.
 
FAIL you she was talking about Canada we don't' take SAT's to get into our universities and you actually think that the univiersities have time to look at the grades from 9-12 for every single applicant, wrong they don't. They look at your grade 11 marks for early acceptance and your grade 12 mark for regular acceptance. So next time get your shit straight before you bash, but yeah just work hard through out high school and you will be fine
 
marks dont matter till grade 11. you just gotta pass the courses and meet the prerequisites for the courses your gonna need to take in grade 11 and 12 in order to get you where you want. so don't worry. but it seems like you have a habit of not studying or being too lazy. so try kicking the habit before it kicks your ass when you need to study for a crazy big test in grade 11.

yeah listen to this chick she knows what shes talking about......NOT. junior year is the most important year in high school. if your failing every class or close to it your pretty fucked. my suggestion, start caring for another year. after first semester of senior year you can have that additude, but not in junior year. I'm not trying to be an asshole but, GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER. its for your own good.
 
im pretty much in this situation as well. except im a sophomore, and i'm not failing. i have just lately been like you know what, fuck studying, fuck homework, fuck taking notes, and fuck school. it really has made my grades drop a little, but not significant. i am still averaging a B in most classes but they should be A's. luckily i'm pretty smart so i don't HAVE to study, but it would definitely be in my best interest.

quit being a pussy, if you are worried about it then do something. junior year is the most important, failing shit that year pretty much means you are fucked. good luck with that.
