I think I broke my apple!

It kind of froze up somehow, so I turned it off by holding down the start button. Now when I try to turn it on, it just shows the startup page with the gray background and white apple. It also makes a kind of clicking sound, but won't do anything else. I really hope this is just a small problem, and my hardrive didn't crash or anything.

All have very active forums with tons of ner..um very smart people that will help you out, so long as you post in exactly the opposite manner you'd post on NS, IE politely, nicely, with a very exact description of what's going on, and in the right forums.

I'd answer your specific hardware question, but to be honest, I don't know, so I'd be wasting your time.
 
I'm so happy, I had turned it on this morning, knowing that it wouldn't work because I had played with it so much last night. I walk over there, and there's my screensaver. That could have been a huge mess, I don't have enough money to buy another one, and I have tons of stuff on there I need. Thanks for the help Jib-This.
 
so basically the people at Macrumors are the smartest people on earth. They even helped my save whatever i wanted of my old hardrive, so awesome.
