Who else sucks at park but loves it. i can barely do anything. 3's, 1's, i can do some switch ups and spins(don't even know correct names) on rails and boxes and some butters and thats it. i feel like since ive skiied park a decent amount for like 2 years a should be able to do a little more. anyone else in my boat? i Live in tahoe so i just recently ventured into the park, i tend to stay in the BC and pow

STAY STRONG.

I'm with you. Not too good. Can anyone help me improve? Right now, the only tricks I have on lock are Double 12, 3 swaps, disaster 4 on, and front 6 out. Oh, and I can do 180s sometimes...

i feel you bro, i dont know if you saw that edit of mine from when last year but it was pretty much the worst edit in the history of ns, all i can do now is 3s 1s, spins on boxes and stuff, i mostly ski pow

this will be my second season. Last year i went like 7 times on rental skis and all i got were some boxes and maybe little 10 ft kickers

hey man don't knock yourself down too hard, thats actually pretty good compared to most kids on this site.

next start working on some harder dubs maybe 16 or the elusive dub 7.

then huck a triple you pussy

I used to be a really big pussy in the park, but for some reason last year after about 4 years of serious park skiing and just doing simple spins with grabs up to 540s i just said fuck it and started hucking inverts. Nothing amazing but just some flips, and corks. The thing is though. I cant say that it is that much more fun than when I was a first year park skier who wouldnt even hit a 20 ft table.

The fact is skiing is skiing and no matter what stage in the game you are at its fun as fuck.

Since my mountain doesnt have a "park" im right with ya. i mean we have a 15 foot jump and a down rail or two. i do what i can with that but it's not much.

I had a friend that sucked pretty bad once, then I spiked his soda at lunch with copius amounts of whiskey, he came off the next chair ride on fire linking combos off assorted features. Although when the whiskey wore off, he turned back into a fagot.

lucky bastard.

this is why you suck at park.

if there was powder every day i went up, i'd be a shitty park skier too.

luckily we get some nasty, icy days so I can work on my rail game, and some decent slushy days to try to spin off park jumps.

Im not great, I can throw fives pretty consistently, thats about it

I would rather just do goofy stuff with my friends...

like anal

That's not that bad, is it? That's pretty much where I am, and although I know I'm not amazing, I don't consider myself shit. I've got a decent rail game, only thing eluding me is 2's on rails. I just try to steeze shit out, as I don't have the biggest trick bag. The onslaught of tranny finding has considerably improved my park cred, as that's something I for some reason am pretty good at.

You need to just dont give a fuck, basically. Dont overthink. Its never good to be stupid while skiing, like trying stuff that is above your skill level, but when we are talking about 1s and 3s, just go for them. I always like to think that if I dont try that or that trick which I had pictured, my whole day is gonna be ruined. Thats the thing that makes me push myself atleast. Go on be a little crazy! And its a must to have good friends around, you are not very likely to push yourself if you ski alone.

I feel ya man. I ski with mostly guys and they can do more than I can, makes me feel like I suck sometims

I never really got into ark because I mostly just did moguls and racing, gaper i know who cares. This year/season I finally bought some better twin tips for myself, and I am doing strictly park because it is so fun. Last year I could do the average tricks like 3's, 1's, occasionally 5's, and then going on and off rails. This year I'm going to work a lot on learning newer tricks.

for all you people that suck at skiing come to water ville valley New ham[pshire and join our freestlye team call bbts, clayton vila and nick martini came out of there as a example of shredders... u will become a dope skier

I've been skiing park for about 4 years and I suck at it. some basic spins and rails etc. but that's all. I'd rather ski powder anyways.

the only times i ride park is when my friends are there, i suck, but i like messin around a little bit. If i had the option to ride anything else i would, but living in ohio kinda limits your "pow" days. i personally don't feel the need to push myself to progress, im cool with not tearing more ligaments and breaking bones, so i chill and enjoy watching those who are good at it. When i finish up school and move near a real mountain i don't think ill ever ride park unless its to film.

I suck at park, but I don't have an excuse. I live in the east where it's all park. I've been into it for about 2 years but I suck ass at park.

I can also relate to this. My hill really doesnt have much of a park but with what we have got over the past 3 years I can barely land a 3 at the most for spins, i can switch up on boxes and hit rails(but do nothing on them). And thats about all I can do. Hoping this season to defenitly improve a bunch because man i suck lol.

now that you're older? some simple math puts you at 23 or younger! you're in your fucking physical prime! you've got at the very least a few years before your age starts to hold you back. you're kidding yourself if you think your age is holding you back, and i feel sorry for you if you think you're getting old already.

I just started skiing last year and all I can do is basic boxes and small jumps. I plan to spend a lot more time in the park this season. Powder at my mountain is unheard of for most of the season

It's the same for me, all my friends are constantly making goals and talking about progression and shit, but I just go out there and do whatever I feel like doing, don't get me wrong it feels great to stomp a trick you've been working on but it's just way more fun when don't focus on one trick
