I SOLVED THE OIL/GAS PROBLEM

might need to repeat that not sure what the hell you're trying to say.and ill admit it, i wasnt much of a ski racer, i never enjoyed it that much, i mostly did it because at the time it was the only way my parents would let me ski. ive still got a couple friends in ski racing and im around it a bit. i know what it takes to be a good ski racer, and yes its extremely tough to make it in ski racing.

but still, you have done nothing but prove you know nothing about motorsports. and you obviously have a very biased OPINION. so you saying nascar isnt competitive or doesnt take skill really means absolutely nothing.

physical skill wise id say nascar and freestyle skiing are pretty similar. indycar and f1 are much more physical than both though. there arent super high G forces in nascar, but the cars are pretty physical to drive and the conditions inside the cockpit can be pretty extreme. but even in nascar, you need to be very fit, not to physically drive the car, but to be able to handle the mental aspects of the racing. its hard to explain, but its much more important, actually crucial in indycar and f1. so its kinda off topic, so i wont go into it unless someone wants.

and there is a shit ton of practice, training, injuries etc.. in all types of racing. almost all of the entire winter is spent testing and preparing for the season, and when not in the car the rest of the off season is spent training physically and mentally. drivers in f1 and indycar typically work out almost if not every day they are not in a car during the off season. the physical aspect is HUGE in open wheel racing.

sorry didnt mean to insinuate they do this every time, its not typical but it happens a lot more than you think

this true of naval aircraft, when they land on a carrier, their weight has to be under a certain limit, so they dump fuel, however, the key is not to dump so much that if you have to take off again, you still have enough fuel to make another landing attempt, it's called 'being on the ladder'

in my econ class we were actually just discussing how ethanol is actually one of, if not, the most inefficient fuels available. it was never popular or efficient. just sayin

Excellent post.

On a side note, I find it ironic how many Prius owners drive like idiots. I ride my bike every day and I can't count the number of times I have almost been killed by some fool trying to drift his/her Prius. They must all be in a hurry to make it to their Wall Street protests.

I have no knowledge of how efficient it is but the reason NASCAR uses. It is because ethanol (corn) is a renewable resource compared to straight gas which none of the content is reusable. By reusable I mean they cut the corn and seeds that the corn dropped will grow again

what type of fuel do the tractors who collect the corn use?

DIESEL

it take more gallons or liters of diesel fuel to collect the corn, and process the corn that the corn is worth in ethanol. but I will say, when I was driving across Iowa, they had E85, it was cheaper and I got reallly reallly good gas mileage, like +8 mpg to what i was previously getting.

but seriously ethanol is dumb

+10 internet points for a current events pun.

Nascar will never be shut down, I drove past dover downs this weekend and that place was packed.

I don't really understand the attraction, I won't go as far as to say there is no skill in it, but I'd rather watch paint dry.

Here't the thing that irks me about Prius'. Okay, yes, you're driving a car that uses less gas, but you've just created a giant cube of battery acid and chemicals, which takes an unbelievable amount of time to break down (more than many human lifetimes) and which we have little to no data on how this battery acid cube will affect the environment in the future in the degradation stage.

Way to go, fools.

Yeah, not to mention that a diesel, Volkswagon polo will get 70 mpg. FUCKING 70!! Thats ridiculous, everyone in Europe has cars with 50 mpg, and here when the prius hits 45mpg we all have an orgy over it like its some sort of god.

Not to mention we have soccer moms with bleached hair, huge ass sunglasses and fake boobs driving 4x4 suv's and hummers(with no passengers) for the "Comfort" and "practicality". I seriously hate them

beer, that is why people like nascar it is very easy to follow while drunk.

and dover hold about 75,000 people, they were around 50% capacity this weekend, back when nascar was huge you wouldnt be able to come within 100 miles of a track on race day.
