To never buy skis from a non 'core' company again. After reading all the gayness posted by this stupid fischer rep, I've realized that they realized that there's money to be made off of us. Well fuck that, starting with my 4frnts this year, I will only be buying skis from rider owned and driven companies.

nowadays there's really no excuse for not buying from a core company, Line's quality has gone up while thier prices have gone down, You can pick up some Liberty's off absoluteskishop.com for around $400. 4frnt's are worth the extra money if you can afford it. And i'm sure ninthward's will be sick as well

I wish I had the saved the article explaining how poor of a business decision it is for companies to spam specialty forums using names that are supposed to represent an individual who isn't associated with the company.

If a Fischer rep really did log onto NS as a product user, then proceeded to tell everyone how great the skis are, then it's borderline false advertising. It certainly isn't legitimate advertising.

Pretty bad move on Fischer's part.

it just comes down to what you want to buy and who you want to support. i say core companies all the way.

 
The way I see it, skiing wouldn't have survived without the mainstream companies. So your core companies only exist because they were able to build a niche market based on the foundation created by the major companies. Fuck loyalty. Buy what's good. If that ends up being core companies, great. If not, oh well. Do you honestly think that any of them give a damn about your business?

because rider owned companys are a ski that a person has put a lot of time and effort into, unlike big companys like salomon where the only reason they make em is to make a buck! to them all a twin is is another ski that needs to be ready for next season, or they dont get paid. a rider owned company puts their blood sweat and tears into every product that they produce, they test so many different proto types that you are getting the best quality ski for the best price no matter witch company you buy it from, thats their only focus and they are involved 100 percent!
