The wife and I talked last night. They do not have an open thing going on , and he has caught her in the past so she said it wouldn't be that big of a surprise to him. To quote what she said "what does he think I do while he is gone wait for him to get home to have sex, no I need it I get it." So he knows she has done it before which blows my mind because he never told me about that. I'm still going to tell him because she even said when he is gone she doesn't wait so clearly she isn't going to tell him.

It's not your place to tell him his wife is a cheating scumbag just because you feel guilty about what you've done. Suck it up. If you have to feel guilty for the rest of your life then so be it. His wife won't be telling him anytime soon that I can guarantee. You don't know what happens behind closed doors and is it not your place to make any sort of judgement call here. You're obviously not a true friend of his no matter what you say. And if you were able to get your dick hard you were able to make the conscious decision to fuck your 'friends' wife so don't dare use the 'I was drunk' excuse.

Telling him, when absolutely no good will come of it, just so that you can get it off your chest is almost as selfish a choice as fucking his wife was. If she chooses to tell him that's a different story. A marriage is between two people, not 3. Doesn't matter if she fucked the whole town, it's for her to tell him, not you. And how do you know that whilst he's away he isn't banging a different chick each night? You don't. Marriage is about more than sex.

If I was you, I would distance yourself from this so called 'friend' of yours, move on and chalk this up as a lesson you really shouldn't have had to experience to learn.

I'd also be prepared to live with the fact that at some point in the future (maybe a week or 10 years from now, maybe on your deathbed) you might get punched in the face.

just tell him the truth man. wouldn't you rather have told him and loss a friend than not tell him and had to hide that from him and if other people find out think about how embarrassed he would feel hearing it from someone other than his wife or friend. tell the wife that she should tell him since she cheated more than once. if she doesnt then i think you should

When I was in the army most guys would find out if their wife was cheating while they were deployed by looking behind the headboard. People would leave their calling cards like a unit patch or a postcard behind it, so when he comes home and looks, he'll know. It was kind of a courtesy of the jodies to let you know your wife/gf was a slut... after they too banged her.
 
I haven't heard from anybody that has any real life knowledge on what a marriage is. This is not some girlfriend. This is this guys wife. I would lay my life on the line in a heart beat for my wife. She is my rock and my everything. I can't speak for their relationship and it sounds like a fucked up one at that. Yet the fact is they are still married and not only she but you as well broke his trust. I am floored at the thought of all the folks on here saying don't tell him, that no good will come from it. The good will come from knowing the truth. Yes she is a bitch and you are an asshole. If you choose not to tell him I hope you rot from the inside. She will get hers at some point as you will too.

When he divorces her she'll be out on the street with no bas/bah or other military benefits. She's obviously just using him as a meal ticket so she can do nothing but spend his money..and at best maybe work at the PX or base Burger King part time for a nickel. Let him know.. she doesn't deserve a free ride or the benefits the military provides for spouses at his expense.

Wait, so i'm happily married but my husband is fucking other women...yet if neither him nor my best friend tell me about it I'll never find out and i'll remain happily married. The alternative being my friend tells me, I go through a divorce and I spent the next few years of my life in absolute devastation.

I'd never cheat and I don't condone it. But if it was happening to me (and for all i know it could be happening right now) and I had a choice, I'd rather not know. Call it stupidity or whatever you want but actually i'm just being selfish, because I would rather remain blissfully unaware than endure heartbreak.

And I stand by what I said. Telling someone you nailed his wife purely out of a need to make yourself feel less guilty is selfish. SHE needs to be the one to tell him because it isn't your place. But if you do tell, be prepared for a total shit storm, the husband will blame you first before he blames his slut of a wife.
