I saw Barack Obama

Even though I waited in 25 degree temps with just a hoody on for 2 hours I saw Barack Obama. His speech was pretty general about how we need change and it was VERY funny he is an amazing speaker. He noted on how people say hes too young and they say that because "They are trying to stew me up and boil out all the hope so im just like the rest of them" and even commented on how his cousin Dick Cheney wont be on the ballot. Totally solidified my vote.

barack is killin it man, every person i know who was for romney before switched to obama when he dropped out.

yea man barack is tha man. everything he says seems so much more realistic than what anyone else says. i believe that i can trust him to lift our country out of this economic recession and keep us at #1. he definitely has my vote

he's got what i'm looking for. haters will claim that he hasn't "done anything" so he has no experience to prove himself with, to which i say"

1. do research, he has done plenty
2. lack of washington experience may be one of his best qualities

i ran on the treadmill next to him when he rolled through colorado. he is a nice guy and works out at one of the nicest gyms in colorado when he rolls this way.

alright that's a lie, my sister ran next to him.

if i could vote barack would have it. He is not only the best speaker, and his plans are the best. I actually believe he will do them. I have this wierd sense that Hillary is just acting all nice and if she becomes pres. she would become something she did not say she would be.

the people you know are what is wrong with america. how exactly do you shift from ROMNEY to obama at the drop of a hat? did the people you know have a complete ideological reallignment, or are they just completely clueless? I think the latter

don't forget that there are plenty of people who look well beyond his charismatic speaking and actually support his beliefs.

dude that makes no sense. How do you switch from the most conservative one in the race to the most liberal? I might be crazy but that really makes no sense at all. They are complete polar opposites!

yeah ur right. he has one alot....... like racked up over 90 million dollars in earmark spending that he agreeed with..... thats a whole lot of stuff i just love..... NOT

hey if you know what he stands for and you agree with him, great!

but everyone i know who wants to vote for him, loves him (for shallow reasons) and they are voting with their "feelings" rather than rational thought.

but if you know his policy and agree with him thats great! im just so sick of hearing "he makes me feel good", "yes we can", as the only criteria used to determine who will run this country..

take a look back at what he's done as senator in illinois, and even before then, he's done plenty of sincere work to make the community better.

That may be true... But what about now? I dont want to be payin for worthless shit that i dotn care about. McCain would veto all bills with an earmark that came to his desk. Obama has no problem with them for the msot part

i dont know man, i was never for romney and i obviously understand that they are polar opposites but...if someone liked romney and hated mccain and hillary then what are their options again???? oh yeah... barack obama.

well, sorry if I sounded like a dick. but I still think its not really possible to go from romney to obama without having some sort of political revelation or epiphany or something. if someone likes romney and hes gone, then the option really is no one. if you absolutely feel compelled to vote in that situation then I guess I can see just picking obama as your fav from the remainders.

in any case, I voted for obama, and I definitely will vote for him in november.

Agreed. I personally disagree with his planks, but that's my decision. And to all the people who say they want "change" and how he's "exactly what the Whitehouse needs".. I hope you actually know what you want.

mccain would also extend an unnecessary war. so if it's the spending you have a problem with, a war is just about as expensive as it gets.

i totally agree, it even makes me sick to hear other obama supporters citing simple reasons like that. it makes me feel like their uneducated voters, which makes me feel uneducated because we're supporting the same candidate.
but i know why i support, i've done my research and i stand by it.

You can make your own decision about whether the war was justifiable to start out with... But We really have NO choice BUT to STAY! The 3 Islamic tribes Sunnis, Kurds, Shia would almost no doubtly go into civil war. THEY DO NOT GET ALONG! Countries like Armenia and Syria have large populations of Kurds, so they would come and help out the Kurds in Iraq, Iran has alot of Shia they would help out the Iraqi Shia and say like Egypt has alot of Sunnis so they would come and help them out in the civil war... and who cares who the president is, if there is a war like that going on of course America is going to get involved some how. So you may think that its not a "nessesary war" But Why leave and let this all occur if we can just end it sooner rather than go back in a few years? And stealing a McCain quote. Its not American presence in iraq that matters... its American Casualties

he creeps me out, your all getting brainwashed. i say we make every ski resort and area around such resort suceeed(sP added eeeees to get the word across) from the nation so we can rock out while they deal with the buuulllllshit.

i can't believe obama's getting shit for not wearing an american flag pin. that makes him unpatriotic?? honestly, who the fuck cares, it's not like he has burning the flag. what a bunch of douche bags, don't they have some dick to suck somewhere else? what a lame excuse for an attack.

No, he never said he would pull all troops from iraq and afghanistan.   The plan is to reduce the number of toops, reduce troops and help the people of the 2 countries be self reliant and protect the kurds of Iraq from genocide.  Do your research first before you make stupid comments.

hardly. the only candidate that would actually straight up recall all the troops would probably be ron paul (not an RP plug, just saying). obama wouldn't just get into office and send troops to pakistan. he said that if he had concrete intelligence (for serious concrete, not bush style made up intelligence) about high profile al qaeda targets in pakistan, and musharraf refused to do anything, that he would intervene.

that might be slightly distasteful to those who are completely against any kind of foreign intervention, but that's not an unreasonable statement.

Sounds like team america world police. The religions have been fighter far longer than america has been a country.

ok yes that was my own opinion. but what are we supposed to do about the hatred between these islamic tribes? as said before by someone, they've been fighting for much longer than our country has ever existed, what makes us so special that we can finally solve a problem that has been going on for thousands of years? i don't see why we need to stay there if it's just delaying the inevitable. we can sure as hell try our best, try to get them talking and get some diplomacy going. but if that doesn't work, are we going to sit there and babysit them with our american troops in danger?

Well... as the nations lone super power. i think for now we have to try, this is jsut me talking but i think in the long run it will be saving ALOT more American lives.... but thats just my own opinion but even so there is alot more that goes into why we need to stay in iraq, the econcomy. There is ALOT of oil in iraq as im sure that you are all aware of. If we were to pull out and civil war would erupt. The oil in iraq would most likely become much harder to attain. And all those people saying no blood for oil, well its not just oil. its more the worlds economy as a whole. If we were to pull out and oil became harder to get than the price would go up. When price goes up that is a resource cost that would effect all producers which than would have LRAS shift left. the PPC would move in and the standard of living would decline. I know we have a ridiculously high standard of living in the USA, but even poor people in Africa's living would drop. Groups like UNICEF and red cross would not be able to reach as many people.. so its not just us being a baby sitter, there is alot more we need to worry about.......... i might have had some spelling errors sorry bout that

that's absolutely true, and i agree we should definitely try. but we i don't think we should plan on staying there for very long. i also think we should be putting more money and attention towards alternative fuels rather than harvesting what's left of fossil fuels.

i agree, that we should be finding alternatives to fuels. We as a nation have to become energy independent...... i guess our thread is done unless someone says something stupid later

bubble bursting time......

barak obama is not revolutionary, his ideas are very similar to that of jimmy carter's

as a state senator he didn't know how to vote properly in senate.

LA Times article on 1/24/08:

when asked about a june 2006 vote......."I was not aware that I had voted no". whoops.

when asked about a feb 2000 vote......."I pressed the wrong button by accident". whoops.

when asked about a march 1999 vote......."I pressed the wrong button on that". whoops.

when asked about a march 1997 vote......."I was trying to vote yes on this, and I was recorded as a no". whoops.

what kind of commander-in-chief will that make? "president obama why did you fire missiles at japan? oh i pressed the wrong button, i meant to press the North Korea button". our military has gone so downhill since our last two draft-dodging presidents, we don't need it worse.

the rest of this is from govtrack.us

in 2007, barak is in the top 10% of members of congress for MISSING

VOTES. so is mccain, and so is clinton but only for the second half of

last year. in other words, currently they aren't doing shit for what

they were voted to do. typical.

people cite how many bills barak has sponsored on how political active he is. but is it worth it? he sponsored

129 bills

since

Jan 4, 2005,

of which 120

haven't made it out of committee

and only 1 was successfully enacted.

2007 success:

his Bill 268 to make July 12, 2007 "National Summer Learning Day" passed the Senate on July 13, 2007. good work there.

his Bill 25 condemning the recent violent actions of the

Government of Zimbabwe against peaceful opposition party activists and

members of civil society passed and waits on the House.

his Bill 133 resolution celebrating the life of Bishop Gilbert Earl Patterson passed Senate.

which of barak's proposals made it out of the Senate in 2007?

a celebration of life, a condemnation, and a summer learning day a day late. are you kidding? that's government bullshit right there. congrats!

its really the only reason he is doing well,

he can speak well and he's charismatic.

they just want someone who they perceive to be human.

seriously makes me wonder about some of american society.

the article i read was in the paper, but it was a few months back and think he may have said it when there was alot of controversy about pakistan, but the article did say what i said up there. it was a gradual pull from I and A and move into P. it said he had plans to do it. not that he'd consider it in what i read. that was all i heard about it, the article, so i really think he may have abandoned the idea, but still it really wasnt something i wanted to hear. my friend rob read that also.

yahoo linked me to a US weekly obama interview... check out this response under comments, i thought it was pretty funny

"looking through some of these comments and wow im surprised people discriminating obama cause hes 'muslim' haha hes not i bet you hilary clinton started dat rumor and it would be good to have a women as president but not hilary maybe oprah cuz she will actually do sumthing and huckabee should not win he'll just deport all 'illegal people' i dont want that mexicans are cool and so is every other race but its also true that white people are the main racists haha well watevr obama should win every 1 noes dat he'll bring change something we need cuz george bush should have NEVER been elected president hes too racist and also arnold shwarzenneggar should have NEVER been governor the two of them make the ultimate racist team
