Not that it affects me anymore, nor do i care anymore.... but he picked a good song for this teaser and damn the cable cam footage in the crown turned out spectacular.

So, links don't auto link anymore... I'm retarded.

that's what it seems to everyone trevor^

i've been talking to everyone i've been shredding with, and it seems like most people are migrating to the canyons instead of pc for next year, it's so annoying how they really only care about snowboarding and photo shoots (the higher ups at least it seems).

it was fun while it lasted i suppose.

Hey Guys, I usually try to stay out of this stuff, but I really do owe all of you an explanation. First, we really wanted to have an amazing ski movie. We have footage, but two of our main athletes, Jossi and Tanner both got hurt during the season. We have pretty good footy of Jossi, but not much of Tanner. He hurt himself in February as you may know and started skiing again in April, but then immediately hurt himself again in Alaska. Anyway, we did not want to put out a mediocre ski movie and have it compared to all the great footage we have with the snowboarding side.

We really appreciate your support through the years. I mean this! For next year, we will be hiring 13 people for the day crew and will have 9 people on during the week days and 11 people on during the weekends. This doubles our day crew and we've never done this before. We will extend Jonesy's all the way up to Homerun and the lowest section will extend down the pitch before the Bonanza Mine Building.
Jonesy's will be the medium park next year. Kings will have the big line.

We will be incorporating 30 additional rails and Funboxes this year with an emphasis on rails.

Throw out some ideas and I'll see what is realistic for us to build. I can't promise I'll do it, but we'll try...
Also, give us your ideas for the park runs as well. Keep in mind we have to build things that can be maintained on a nightly a basis by cats, which means you may have an amazing idea, but it might night be realistic for the day to day operation. Again, we'll try.

Anyway, I know I'm not your favorite person! I just thought I'd let you know I'm not some kind of monster who doesn't care.

We hope to see you! I'm not going to be on here too much, but, yes, every now and again.

Also, I will be making a short video for the skiing footage that we have, which is primarily Tom Wallish, Jossi, and a little bit of Tanner. Thanks, Jim Mangan

The fact you are changing kings to the big park again is amazing, plus double staff! No way im migrating to the canyons next season, not that i was considering it anyway.

One question, are you guys at PC gonna have the big jumps open as soon as key/breck do? I don't want to have to travel all the way to CO to hit the first big jumps open next year, and if you guys can do that, it would be great, but if you can't, at least I asked.

Thanks

We will try to have big jumps up as early as possible...it all depends on mother nature. If we have good cold temps throughout november we should definitely have some up early. Hope that helps....

i agree. i thinks the parks are good, but could be next level if you focused less on movies and more on a killer park. can't you guys promote pc the traditional way with after-season photo shoots instead of mid-season spectacles just for the pros? theres my suggestion, jim.

you got it..... besides besides competitions and maybe a pipe shoot... we won't close the parks for photo/film shoots until the mountain shuts down....as for pedafile peter....I know I know!

any chance with all these improvements will come any type of competition for skiers? a rail jam? anything?

I like where your head is Jeffy. Ski comp FTW. But the reality of that is that WE(The skiing community) are the ones that organize events like that. WE present the idea to PCMR and WE go out and find sponsors for the event. All PC does is provide the dates. That is how Mike broke it down last time that subject came up, I believe.

Park City Open and I know this doesn't have to do with PC but there needs to be a Mini Golf contest next year.

We definitely try to balance out the snowboard and ski events... Our proam events for skiers consists of the USSA Slopestyle and Halfpipe. We have Worldsuperpipe for Pros and the Queens Cup for Women. In Snowboarding we have the USASA Event, One USSA EVENT, World Superpipe, and the TransAm series. We do have one more event in snowboarding than skiing. I do agree with you guys on having some sort of rail jam or maybe rail, jump, QP event. I'll look into it and see if anybody has something on an AM level with sponsors and organizers and see what we can do....

Yeah.. USSA competitions are kinda weak though, and not many of the kids that ski the park every day are USSA members or compete in those contests. A slopestyle event, or rail jam would be so sick. Having a rail jam the same day as the TransAm would be cool. The actual riding portion of that event was only a couple hours. I'm sure a ski portion of it could work out, Unless the sponsors for that event want the set up all exclusive.

next year you should: open the full park asap, set up everything, bigger and more consistent jumps, no more quarterpipes, more rails, bring back the s box, and....i know it won't happen but....rope tow in jonesys?

if you could set it up like you do at the end of the year, at the beginning of the year, that would be great too

We'll definitely try to have bigger jumps sooner.... we're going to build the last jump in the crown like we had it in late april when the mountain was closed. It required a lot of snow quite a bit of time to get it to that point. It won't be 80', but probably more like 70'. There will be a 60' just above it and the first 3 jumps in the crown will be in the 40's. Again, it all depends on cold temps for how soon we can make them....also, we will have more rails as I mentioned in my first response. Our emphasis this year will be on the new addition of rails. We are adding 30 new rails and box features to what we have already. The set-ups will be like the end of the season and better and hopefully we'll have a bunch of stuff up at the beginning. I hope this helps...

i dunno though. it SUCKS having to deal with all the crowds on that lift. it's always packed out and i don't really ever feel like waiting in line for like 20+ minutes between laps.

Bonanza is just as bad as payday on weekends. Solution: dont ski on weekends.

As for more rails being added, please say you guys are making/planning on making a S-rail. Sure the s-box is fun, but s-rails are 10 times funner. I would never talks bad about PC employees(mainly lifties, ticket scanners, and their upper management, not the park guys) ever again if you guys made a s-rail.

dood, you're a genius! appreciate the novel idea. sorry but as some people grow up they unfortunately have to face the real world and make a living. i wish i could just ride there on weekdays but unfortunately that wasn't the case this year. oh and dude, payday is freaking bonkers on weekends.

we're all glad you came out of the closet by the way, mr. buttsecks. props on that.

I like the idea of the middle park being Jonsyes, definitely a better idea. Crown is better big. Im stoked for all of the park stuff going on at PC for next year. Add a rail jam and it could be epic. Id like to just spend the weekends in the BC though but weekday PC oooohh myyyy. Thanks Jim

We will make the s-rail, s-box, and recreate a trap box similar to the DC Shoes box....Thanks for the input you guys...I"m heading out for a little vacation time...I'll check back in a few days.

One thing that I really missed this year was the night time jib park. I definitley would have sessioned at night more often if there would have been some jibs open at night. And maybe even some jumps were the small park used to be?

i am excited for jonesys it will be long it sounds like... can you explain the jump sizes and things there and how you will set it up.
