I really need everyone's help right now

I'll start of my saying me mt friend tim(driver) and my girlfriend decided to go to whiteface for opening day and It pretty much sucked... all the delays and the skiing was pretty shitty but we were skiing and having fun so whatever. Then we go to Lake Placid to grab some food. went to this awesome pizza place across from the 400m outdoor icerink. Now this is when all the problems start. We ended up taking like a 40min detour cuz we get lost. We stop and ask how to get back to the highway so we can get home. It ended up we only went 6miles from whiteface. So we get back on track ans are on are way home. I'm in control of the ipod. As im switchin songs and looking dow at the ipod, when i look up my friend isnt making the turn in the road so i was like "ooo he's being funny" cuz he does that shit when he drives. When I look at him after looking a the road he is Alsleep so i yell his name and try to turn the the wheel. Bam i start to come to it and at first I was like good it was just a dream but when I open my eyes I see Tim bloody as fuck and my girlfriend crying in the back seat. I see cars driving by and no one is stoping so I punch through the window and as car come im sticking my hand and arm out the window and screaming at the top of my lungs so a car stops comes to the window and tels us he is going to get help. So he leaves and I am trying to keep my friend and girlfriend calm. My girlfriend has no clue what happened/what we did today because of the shock. But she ends up being alright. My friend who was the driver also happens to be an EMT and knows both his arms are broke.And while im doing all this im dizzy as fuck and cannot concentrait at all. Next thing I know everyone is there, cops, ambulance, fire department and so on. All i care about is that my girlfriend and friend are okay. Girlfriend gets out of the car first, then my friend took some time to get out but they do then I end up getting out last. As i said before my girlfriend is okay. But my buddy had to get air flown out of the hospital to get surgery on both his arms, his face is pretty beat up, and thats all I know at this point. When my dad was talking to the nurse she said that me and my girlgriend were lucky while my buddy wasnt so much. I ended up breaking my collar bone, pretty much all the skin on my lower chin is gone, my left hand is all deep cuts, and im sore as fuck and cannot move.

All I am asking is for you the community of NS to pray for my friend to be alright. He snowboards but he stll shares the love for the snow that all of us love so much.

Thats horrible news man, It sucks how life sometimes throws you for a loop like that. With time everything will be alright its a lesson learned. Best wishes to your friend and to you for a speedy recovery.
 
yeah man, one of my best friends got really injured during baseball last year and spent 2 months in the hospital and rehab... i know how you feel.  just say some prayers, give it some time, and go visit him.  you will no doubt be scared shitless when you walk into the hospital, but i guarentee that when you see him, you will feel so much better.  then, you know what his condition is, and you dont need to guess and be worried and stuff

so yeah its gunna suck for a little, but everything will work out for sure.  hope your friend gets well soon!!!
 
update: i called my friends sister and he broke both forearms, dislocated left wrist, 2' of if his intestine was was taken out and he is in a drug induced(sp?) coma(sp?) and will be out for 6' months
 
If hollywood has taught me anything, drug induced comas are no good. Good luck to your friend, and i hope he doesn't fucked for life from this.
 
he is in the come for now and will be taken out of it in a few days.. didnt explain that good enough... his total time for recovery is 6 months... and thanks for all the support
 
ohhh yeah.  people get put in coma's a ton- its a result of something bad that happened but its good for your friend- believe me.  its making it so that his mind is basically shut down, but his body works, so he isnt feeling any pain or anything like that

And I get scared everytime driving home from skiing, wether it be me or a friend. Skiing is a tiring sport. I never sleep on the way home in fear of the driver falling asleep. Scary shit man, hope it all gets better.
 
Wow dude that sucks so bad. Good for you for being there to help them though, that was brave of you. I wish you all a speedy recovery +++.
 
Wow, I'm sorry to hear this. Car crashes are a lot more shocking and damaging, especially psychologically, than sports injuries or whatever because of the violent impact. Have a good recovery, and I hope your friend is allright.
 
damm yo that shit sucks. i was in a bad accident last year on the way home from skiing but it wasent that bad. i hope everything works out for u ur friend and your girlfriend.

guess they misread my cat scan last night so when my doctor got to read it to dat my spleain(sp?) is bleeding and they can do anything bout it. Its okay but they said it could get very dangerous so if i get sick,fever, and so on i have to rush to the ER

wow man, ive never been in a crash but that sounds scary as fuck. good luck and good vibes to your friend, send him my best. im glad you and your girlfriend are ok. im sure everybody here agrees with me when i say that were all praying for your buddy.
 
i bought a suit off this guy last week and even through a car crash he still manages to get my shit out to me if this guy is not a dedicated member of NS that any one can trust i dont know who is

just terrible to hear a story like this... i hope your friend makes a full recovery pronto, mang. and best of luck with the spleen, i definitely hope that doesn't cause you any problems down the road.
