if you have the money for an ipod, seriously get that. Don't mess with the dell mp3 player no matter what kind of gimmick they're enticing you with.
But if money is a bigger issue (like it is for me) you can get a 20gb nomad zen for a ways under $200. and it has all the functionality of an ipod.

WHat where you thinkin?!, of coarse go with the pod! they are awesome, i was baout to buy one....but then i would have only had 200$ to buy new ski equipment....so i diodn't buy the ipod, but when i get my tax return i'm going for the 20gig model, noone really needs 40 gigs, 10 gigs is kinda small, you can use it up easily...try and get an old 15 gig or 30 gig, they will be cheaper- but they still have all the same stye and programing

another nice thing about the ipod is that it also funtions as a external firewire hardrive...perfect for moving large amounts of files between locations.

there is a RCA one for prutty cheap at sams for $200 it is a 20gig.
it is as big as my 'man-part' so if you don't mind lugging it around I would get the RCA one
