I jus got 1 and it worked for a min then it said its on hold (when the lock appears) but it wasnt and ive tried everything the manual says to reset it and every thing but no luck. Any 1 got any tips??
 
My nano works fine so far, its awesome, I got it last night, and have already used it 5 hours. So far no defects.

And about yours, just send it in, i know it may take a while, but it is probably the only thing you can do.
 
i just got one. u needed to plug it into u comp right away so it could charge, i dont no what u should do now tho
 
same here. whats up with the complaints in this thread? nano is amazing, i love mine, i use it every day during school, then skiing, then whenever else i have time... its amazing
 
try reseting it... toggle the hold (turn it on and off) then hold the menu and the center button for like 6-10 sec and the apple should appear and it should "reboot"
 
no, the nano is awesome, this is actually the first time i've heard of anything wrong with nanos besides the fragile screens when they very first came out
 
i'm jammin' to a nano right now, 0 complaints so far, except for the shitty ipod headphones... I don't know why everyone wants them, they blow super easy and can't handle any bass
 
my nano fuckign rocks. I bet most of you douche bags who say nanos suck dont even own one, you're just jealous because we have the newest ipod and your stuck with you're first generation 20 lb. piece of shit.
 
The new iPods are nice, I've got a few videos on it now. Too bad I will have to reformat when I have to switch back to a PC for next year.
 
The Mini was obsolete technology once the nano was released. There is no reason to have a hard drive based mp3 player when you have almost as much storage from a flash memory player. Plus the obvious advancements of its size and color screen over the Mini.
 
yeah i got a nano and when i first used it, it froze and theni resetted it... so take it back to the store and see what they can do.

i downloaded itunes but it wont open because of quicktime or something and i downloaded quicktime and it wont open.... any ideas?
 
The nano uses hard drive memory bro. It was a big deal cause it was the one of the smallest harddrives ever used when it came out. The shuffle is the only flash memory Ipod.
 
i just got one also but im thinking if you fell when sking itd break so i was looking at some of those plastic cases they sell which ones do you guys recommend for the nano for protection
 
should i keep my video or get a 4 gig nano? how the fuck often would i use the video thing? i mean seriously when can i be shit out of luck and have no dvd player anywhere near when i NEED to watch a video or something?
 
im about ready to throw mine out of the window, i just tried updating songs on it and all the previous songs on it disappeared.........and so now i just have like 2 that i wanted to add

so yeah im in a good mood now that i have to add like the 75 i already had on it
 
were they on different comps? cause you can change the settings from "auto-sync" to "collect" or somethign where you can just add from any comp.
 
it depends on what u want. i have the 4 gig nano and my bro has the 30 vid. they're both pretty indestructible. the vid's screen is harder than i expected
 
yeah my mom wanted to get me an ipod video because i'm all into video production but i was like no that's useless. that's what my tv is for watching things on. i only use my ipod when i ski and when i'm going to bed so the video part is a waste of cash for me...
 
well think about watching War on the drive to the hill, and then getting there and being all set with your favorite music to listen to while skiing.

plus their really thin and sexy.
 
i got the 30gig more because i could hold more music. i can t hold all my music with the nana. the 30 is pretty small fo how much it holds to.
 
that would be weird to have a nano in ur ass and not know it. do u have like a very loose anal passage??
