I paid money for 12 minutes of skiing footage...

i actually reely liked this movie it was reely gangsta but thats ok it was funny to watch those guys party it up the whole way through the film the riding was amazing and there was deffinatley more than 12 minutes of it all in all i liked the movie except for the lil bow wow and sean paul music selections
 
anyone on this site can make a 28 minute long movie what is this world coming to. Not to mention it's all the same footage from TBC.

I've been on this site for 5 years.

I gave plenty or reasons for why I thought I got ripped off by the movie and why I think Tanner and Crew are a bunch of tools.

Yes my 8th grade teacher taught me to spell and reason, so did all my professors throughout college, including both my History and Spanish Thesis advisors.

If it's all personal opinion, dont get so worked up about it and actually give some reasons as to why you think PYB "owns" and why Tanner is "the shit".

No offense, honestly since I don't really keep up with what goes on here and don't really recognize you, but you piss me off
 
when you say they feature real lifestyle clips, that pretty much is their lifestyle. Partys and skiing
 
ya i dont think i will buy from PBP next year. johnny is going down the shitter with his editing and footage. i mean for how long that movie took to release it should have been way better and longer.

I didn't saw the movie but I think that a lot of people didn't understand the movie at all. So I'M gonna talk about what I understood and revew I red about it. I think no one understood the movie.

Just think a little bit... The name of the movie is: POP your Bootle, so it's all figuring in the movie juste like WSK106 was a radio show, don't get all upset about the movie for that it's a concept. THink a little bit and stop acting like stupid people before talkin shit too I don't know if you're all 10 years old but fuck stop it! I'M fucking sick and tired of it each one has is own style nobody gotta be the exact same thing as you, respect it and shut up.
 
if you hate tanner and cr and their movie so much why dont you just not buy it? seems pretty damned simple to me. i wish people would just shutup about this whole thing. it's like this. tanner made an ephing movie with his friends. i'm sure you have all made movies with your friends, and i'm sure we could all laugh at those movies too. if you dont like it, dont buy it.
 
The difference is that I don't hype my movies about how sick they are going to be and charge people $20 to $30 for them.

If it was free no one would care.
 
Thats what premieres are for. i wouldn't buy a video having not seen it. i did that once with the prophecy at this premiere, bought it before the movie cuz they said they wouldbe all gone. and damn that movie sucked (just like every other tgr movie), and there was nothing i could do about it.
 
ya let me drive 2000 miles to see a premire for a $30 movie when it would cost me over a $100 to drive or $300-500 to fly.

Pop yer bottlez is to skiing as Finger on Da Trigger is to snowboarding, yes the godly snowboard movie industry has some of thier most talented riders (marc franc montoya, aaron biitner, ali goulet anyone)?

And all ski movies are copying robot food these days, its disgusting. Look at the 11th hour review thing. It stands out for its unique location editing and crazy new vibe thats all aobut having fun! Does this sound familiar, and (by familiar i mean not white shine and travelouge).

Haha, and on the act your age note, marc franc is 30 years old, still doing flossin shots in all his movies, and still on top of snowboarding.

And on the note of robot food displaying confidence, robot food was almost born of lack of confidence. Back in 98 travis parker was a driven snowboarder trying to win competitions and get on top of the game, in his interviews he was always lighthearted, but showed tons of drive to be on top. Snowboarding competitivley and staying on stop never really came together for him, so he gave up on being the best and started driving this snowboard for fun movement (which everyone took way too far). While afterbang represented in many ways the park of snowboarding at its time, lame and definitley afterlame did not.

I dont dislike robot food here, i love the movies, i just think everyone its taking them out of perspective a bit.

Personally i thought the skiing was very good, i just thought production quality was just not to par. I could give a shit less about the little pop yer bottles stuff, but i still thought it was a bad movie.
 
seriously, i would enjoy that kind of movie. They are trying to be funny. Everyone knows pro skiers dont shoot dice in allys and pour champagne on girls in clubs. Lifestyle shots would suck, what does he do? smoke weed, party and ski, i would much rather see a funny skit then that
 
it is a neat movie, i kinda like short movies, cause you dont get bored with what seems like the same footy over and over (i can only watch the first half of war and then ski to Pep/Andy
 
no tanner and all of them are pretty gay they take gayness to new heights with all thier bullshit. ANd the difference with skating movies is that skating is purely an urban sport that onlly requires 100 dollars for a set up. And some pro skatters actually come form hoods were brutal violence in evry sense of the word is a daily reality (and they dont use thier skating segs to show tuff they are they just have funa nd forget about all thier probs). Fuck tanner hall and all them.
 
okay, i agree that some of the club scene was retarded, but it amounted to a grand total of 2 minutes of the movie. The rest of it is all incredible skiing and great editing. Plus, i thought it flowed very well and the soundtrack was good (other than lil bow wow and sean paul)
 
i was gaining some respect for tanner and now i hear that this movie was 12 mins of skiing. come on, if i wanted to see stupid shit i would watch the CKY videos. just make movies about skiing and maybe a little lifestyle but please make the lifestyle part real and not fake.

There is not actually only 12 minutes of skiing, the person who created this thread was making a point that there is a lot of lifestyle shots in the movie, which is true, but it doesn't ruin the segments...there is still plenty of skiing, most of which is grade a.
 
meh...i was done with tanner's "new stuff" after WSKI...they were both short films, 2 short for $30 worth. id rather have the $30 then WSKI, and quite frankly, i probably wont buy PYB
 
What they showed in PYB was definitely not lifestyle. Lifestyle is not scripted, it is not acted, it is not pouring champagne on women. Lifestyle is what happens when the cameras are off. Oh, but they party in real life, you say. Big deal. Nearly every skier parties. Even if they had to show themselves living the rockstar life, they could at least film a real party. That whole club scene was garbage, it served no point at all.

Im hoping teddy bear crisis will fill that void for me this season. The best ski video I have is the flying circus, and its one of my oldest. I love it. chris osteness is the man.
 
I couldn't possible agree more, also another problem is the criticts, some people expect to see peoople throwing the coolest tricks, but i think it woul be sick if there was a movie of just goofing off and having fun and doing funny tricks, and some really sick ones, none of this gangster crap though,
