I officially fucking hate August and its being so far from ski season...

I get the bug every summer around this time. I think it's the withdrawl symptoms kicking in.

It seems extra bad the past few days because the weather as felt like late September with lows getting into the 40s and highs in the low 60s.

Plus a few trees are already starting to have their leaves change, which is very early (possibly from the dry weather we've had all summer).

It's all just reminding me of fall and of skiing soon.

The worst will be that it'll be in the mid 80s by the end of the week, snapping me back to reality that skiing is still at minimum, 3 months away.

this is the slowest month ever. july flew by like a bat outta hell. it was like all of the sudden i was 19 and then that was it.

Funny how this thread popped up cuz me and my friend were just talking about this. I guess its the turning point where you decide you've had enough summer and its time for snow

El Nino, smell nino

Some people refuse to lakabout winter this time of year. I am stoked that I am not the only one running around my house in partial ski gear , and watchin vids. You guys rock. Last season we scored some nice early turns in Sept. It can be winter tomorrow, but it can be September.

rail jam on the 30th for me than by the end of sept ice skating rink opens and real snow begins and than nov season begins

i feel shitty because its august, all the new gear and websites are coming out, and i have a finished back yard setup and trampoline but no back yard to put it in. our retaining wall collapsed and theyve been working on it since may and the kept pushing the finish date back and it wont be done until mid september and by then school has started so know i have nothing to do but sit here on NS and torture myself by watching ski vids.

touchdown in Santiago in 14 days. Skiing in 15. The torture of summer coming to a swift and brutal end.

agreed. august sucks, its rained so much here and of course the bug has set in big time. i got to ski for a week this summer which only makes me want it more

god, i feel this thread, i just finally got a pair of relatively fat skis, and can't wait to try it out. but I have to... the only way i survive is trampolines

GAAAAAWD I feel you so hard. I just love fall and winter so much, not just for the skiing but for everything, leaves changing, lower temps, bundling up, fires, christmas, everything being covered in white etc. Boulder is so gorgeous in the winter, I just cant take it anymore. I NEED WINTER!

There is still skiing in July... So its not so much of a big deal.

Once aug. rolls around, the snow pretty much dissapears, and Whistler closes for skiing period... Leaving us to realize a hemisphere where nobody is actually skiing.. and therefore we start to cry.

LAST DAY OF THE TLINE PUBLIC PARK IS TOMORROWi am going up!i will take pictures to stokify your hunger for skiing

make sures to air the Q-pipe with as much speed as possible, no matter how uncut and choppy, throwing yourself in your preferred direction as hard as can, for us!

and about the thread....It doesn't help having new precious fitting boots, new LL2s, new(skied once at hood) 181 Pipe Cleaners, new Peak 15s, new Peak 18s, getting my 222 skis, and getting a for fun short rock ski, new jacket, new(used) pants, and still in need of intuitions, some mounts, a Smith Hustle, and a season pass =\. just makes me think more of skiing(Because of the masssive gear stoky that looks at me every night).
