Okey, I'm lookin at buying some scratch BCs because thats what i want, okay? But I'm kinda stuck on whether to get 176s or 182s. I'm 5'10' 180 lbs. and ski a mix of groomers, park, pow. The last skis I had were 165 concepts and those were a little small. So I guess the questions 176 or 182?? Thanks yall.

 
definitely the 182 unless you dont have legs. But I bet you have legs. go 182. I am the same size as you, but 10 lbs heavier and I definitely want some BCs but in 188.

well dewd, i kinda got fat over the summer and i only weighed 160 last winter, the concepts weren't that bad, well good for park but colorado sucked with them.

 
oh and I suck pretty bad at skiing park so consider that...grinding rails is not hard, but Im pretty bad at spins, so is 182 still the way to go?

 
anyway you could ride either one before you buy them? Otherwise I'd go for the 182. I'm 5'9' 155, and I'm looking to get 185 ARVs

I feel bad for people who don't drink, cause when they wake up in the morning, thats the best the're going to feel all day

kev dont encourage him to get smaller skis for being that big.. that is like encouraging him to suck as a skier. Short skis promote laziness and lack of good form and style because they are so easy to handle.

well I ski a week in colorado, week in whistler, pry some pow in marquette and the canada over little Michigan. But otherwise with michigan hills I'm forced to ski park while there but also do tree runs a lot. Mostly park though.

182, mount them forward of the forward line, I'd say about 2 cm forward. Rossi tech guys at the vancouver ski show said I could go 4 cm forward to completely centre mount, but no one really needs that and the scratchs are going to be your only decent pair of skis. Whatever you do, you need the 182s. Don't go 176, I ride those and I'm only 5'7', on a tall day. And I think they're too short...

longer is pretty much better for skiing. spins you're gonna want shorter, but for trees\groomers\powder, go long.
