I need to get ski's, boots, and poles any suggestions?

boot size and last are just starting points. Talk to a good bootfitter. Everyone has their own definition of good, mine is that if the first thing he/she does when bringing you a pair of boots is NOT pulling out liners and have you do shell fit, he/she is not good enough.

definitely try on boots instead of being recommended a pair, there are alot of different shapes out there and not all of them will be for you, good luck

Cannot stress getting fitted for boots enough. I have very wide feet and was dumb enough to continue buying several pair's of boots consecutively before figuring out what works for me. Also buy for comfort, not for what looks good or what other people use.

Get fitted for boots. It's great you know you're 24.5 shell but that's not going to help you very much past a reference point. Besides, feet change and they're going to check your size when you get fitted. Or don't get fitted and buy a sweet pair of Full Tilts off the internet since you know your exact size. Either way I don't give a fuck.

Poles are poles. Either spend money and get some online or from a store or go to the rental shop and snag a pair. Also depends on how you want your poles to fit, either forearms at about a 90 degree bend or if you want those stupid little park poles then make sure your hands can be all the way hanging at your sides and you slouch like a gorilla. That will ensure you're halfway to being a knuckle dragger.

Skis are.... skis. If you want park skis, get park skis. Pipe get pipe. All Mountain get all mountain. Powder powder.

Most of this research you can do and find out what you want. Other than that the questions on skis you have can be searched and answered. My advice is choose some shit you have an interest in and ask a Backcountry.com rep on the chat feature. They seem to know their stuff.
