NS community i need to find a book preferabley about skiing, my teacher said it could be anything by the way

Thanks for any replies

good luck with that, i dont know of any books about skiing. try something by tim o'brien like Going After Cacciato or The Things They Carried. theyre both novels about the vietnam war and are excellently written, as well as fairly entertaining.

Fight Club is a book as well? I love the movie, Edward Norton is a fucking bad ass. I might go read it actually. But book wise, for my AP English class we read the Kite Runner for summer homework, it's actually a great book.

Everyone's recommending Fight Club, which is an excellent book, but also anything by that author (Chuck Palahniuk) will not disappoint you.

If you haven't read Angels and Demons or The Davinci Code by Dan Brown I suggest you do it.

There's always "The Audacity of Hope" by Barack Obama. I was entertained.

And, the Autobiography of Malcolm X is kinda powerful.

Into the wild if you havnt red it

also climbing literature is like as close as ull get to skiing and most of its super cool
Touching the Void
Into Thin Air
Addicted to Danger

here is a couple other books to read or think about

Rules of Attraction (?) About a New England College in the 80s (lot of drugs and sex also made into a movie

Choke (by the same author of fight club) about a sex crazed person who chokes in places to get money movie is coming out soon

Hair Styles of the Damned (?) About a punk in the 80s quick read

Fear and Loathing Las Vegas (hunter s) drugs and craziness in Las Vegas also a movie

I am Charlotte Simmons (tom Wolfe) about a freshman college student who goes to college in PA from back country of NC, gets depressing at the end but makes you think

Electric Kool Aid Acid test (tom wolfe) about the grateful dead and the merry pranksters

They are all good reads

The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde - extremely clever writing

Hamlet by William Shakespeare - easily his best

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams - hands down the funniest book I've read

Anything from the "... and Philosophy" series. These are collections of essays, articles and papers written about elements of pop culture. Books in the series include Seinfeld, Star Wars, Harry Potter, South Park .... with my favorite being The Simpsons and Philosophy: The D'oh of Homer. They are intellectual essays written by philosophy professors. They're not dumbed down in any way, they're entertaining and they'll really make you think.

sex, drugs, and cocoa puffs by chuck klosterman.

Its just a collection of short stories, philosophy, and other shit. Its hilarous.
