i know it sounds nooby but i got alot of trouble grabbing in my spins. ever since i hurt myself i had to lay off the jumps and my friend owns me in grabs now :( so basically tips for mute and tail grab. when ever i go to grab them in 3's i dont even come close.

I learned true tails on straight airs when I was a n00b and then with floater 1's. Eventually I just got so used to X'd up true tails on 1's that it feels weird for me not to do them now.

for me i just got really comfortable with doing 3s on a jump. then i straightlined it to get more air, rotated the 3 slower (always being comfortable) and right when i popped off the jump for the 3 i grabbed mute, then yanked the cross and held, then stomped. also it helped for me right before i dropped in to kinda do what i was about to do but do it on the ground not moving...visualizing helps more than you would think. havn'et moved my grabs up on bigger spins yet though.

1. hit a jump
2. set your spin.
3. suck your legs up
4. reach down
5. grab your ski
6. let go of your ski
7. land

do the spin a few times with your legs in the position of the grab (i.e. for a leading tail cross your skis and point toes downward a little) without actually reaching for the grab

i found that reaching for the grab can mess up your spin, but once u are used to spinning in that position then its not a big change

yeah that pretty much covers it

be sure you set your spin first THEN and only THEN go for the grab

dont try to do it all at once or you'll get assfucked

i find that practicing the grabs with straight airs first and then grabbing later in your rotation helps out

when i spin i huck to the left but i cross my left leg over right when i spin so they kida counteract eachother what should i do or does anyone else do that???

well what i learned today is that you shoud at first only touch your ski for your grab, and then once you get used to it while doing your spin then you can start actually grabbing, because i started doing that today and it made my spins so much more smooth

Yeah alot of people do that including me and a bunch of different pro skiers. I think it is actually easier because your shoulder isnt down when ur reaching for mutes. I think it actually alows you to spin faster with mutes this way.

man dont listen to the steps things... you cant think of all that shit at once... you'll just get comfortable in the air man. before i go off im thinking of the grab im gonna do and where to put my hand, then i do the spin and right away go for the grab... i recommend starting with mute grabs in your spins cause you can just throw the spin and immediately grab your ski, then tweak the grab or whatever and your set. JUST THINK OF THE GRAB IN YOUR HEAD ALL THROUGHOUT THE TRICK
