I need tips on 360s(i can spin them but i land on my back or tails)

Don't look down, and make sure you pop as much as possible when you take off. The reason you're landing on your back is probably because you look straight down as soon as you take off.

^ I do that on all my spins and come out fine. Really it's just pratice and becoming comfortable with spinning. It happens to everyone when they are learning. Also it will help to spin off bigger jumps if you are comfortable with it.

same thing happens to me except i land on my arm, i got a spiral fracture on my humerus and got surgery twice, they put in screws

push forward in your boots when you takeoff and you won't land backseat. i had the same problem when i started and i just found that if i keep my center of gravity forward it helps a ton

i know it sounds kinda hard but if u just close ur eyes then u shouldnt go off axis. U dont have to close em the whole way through but just right at the beginning. This way ur eyes wont focus on anything right away while your still directing your spin. Once ur in the right motion u should be good

i had the same problem. I threw my first 3 without even really planning to do it. I was just going to 180 because I didn't think i could spin a 3 yet, but when I go to the lip, i just went for it, and landed perfectly. But after that, i started thinking about it too much. I was spinning them perfectly, but when I went to land, i was always just a little too off-axis and would land on my hip. This happened atleast 15 times before I learned how to pop before my spin. Experimentation is the key; dont give up.

im a weird one, ive got 5's and 7's no prob every time stomped......but 3's i do what this dude does, land backseat and cause of shinbang i just dont do em at all...I go from 1's to 5's every day.

I spent a season doing that. Eventually that I was spinning at the same angle the lip was at. Which, if you think about it, is the opposite angle of the landing.

Pop forwards. That's what did it for me.

Keep your body as one, don't spin your upper body first and let your lower body sort of drag behind.

if theres one thing u take in from this whole forum, from my experience its pop off your toes, it sounds tiny, but i was doing exactly wat your doing about a month ago, i popped off my toes and got them immediately,

Try buying some joystick poles. I used to have the same problem, but now with my joysticks i can spin anything from a cab 9 to a flat-7 truckdriver.

haha, a guy above said "close your eyes"... umm buddy, that isn't exactly great for spotting your landing. And when he wants to spin off axis or bigger than 5s? Spotting is crucial. Your body follows your head/spine.

Just make sure you pop, look over your shoulder (not down and back) and you will get there.

i didnt read all the responses, so i appologize if it has been said already, but all you need to do is keep pressure on your shins. its that simple. as long as you have good shin pressure, you'll always land with the tranny, and you will never again land backseat or on your back (which has to kill, props for sticking with it!).

just keep trying, it happens to everyone. you will get the hang of it eventually. i thought the 540 was easier than 360 to learn.

make sure u dont start spinning untill ur completly off the jump...and do eveything else said above but maybe not close ur eyes...although i have never tryed it

best thing to do is pressure youre shins against your tongues in your boots. this also helps to learn how to carve off the lip. give it a try sir.

Yeah, when i was learning 3's i just gave er' and they were always off axis. I find if you initate the spin right at the lip and pop hard it'll help you stay forward. Whenever I pop then spin, I always go backseat. But other then that jsut keep doing it over and over. word.

Can someone elaborate on the "pop off your toes" a bit It sounds like good advice, but more specifics would be good.

Also every time I try for a grab on my three my spin grinds to a halt and end up doing a 180. Anybody had that problem?
