I need the right binding!!!!

Okay here are the specs:

I live in the Midwest, 80% park 20% groomers

I am 5'9 135 lbs.

I need a good binding but kinda low priced.

i found the AXIAL 2 120 binders for 109$ shipped on evogear.

Ayone else got a better binding for a better price..open for recommendations
 
the mojo 15 go from 5 to 15 so you wont have a problem with too high din. and there such a better binding than the px12.
 
If you buy the Mojo 15's then you're going to be paying for extra DIN that you don't need. That might not be a bad thing, but since you live in the Midwest and ski park I assume you don't need bindings cranked like Seth Morrison. And to the post above, I've found that Look/Rossi/Dynastar bindings are by far the most consistant, reliable bindings out there now. If you can, find a pair of P12s from a dealer. Rossi/Look doesn't make them anymore, but if you can find them, you'll be happy. The pivot heel is great. They're my favorite binding ever, and although I haven't ridden many others, the feel just seems perfect.

Rossi axial 2 120 for $109

or the Head mojo 11 for $119

Which ones will be overall better for my conditions?

Which one can take a beating?

Which one wont release when im in mid air lol...
 
I would go for the axials, i have the equivalent dynastar version and they have been great, although i've only used them for 2 days skiing so far.

They're cheaper too
 
i have the the axial2 120 or whatever and i really wish i hadent got them i am constantly popping out for no real reason. i also have 2 other friends with the same binding and the same problem.
 
i have. but they are on my hellbents so it might be that and then that would make my opinion completely irrelivant to this thread so why am i even posting?
 
just remebered i bought them for my park skis too(they were cheap). and had to crank the din up so they wouldent come off in the air.
 
I have never had a problem with any look/roosi bindings and I have been using them for 4 years now.

The mojo 11 has a ery different construction then the 15 that is not near as strong or consistent. I would highly recommend getting a pair of the rossi/looks. The toe piece is the best one out their period, many people have problems with releasing too early, however this is usually caused because the boot sole is worn down. (why you should buy boots with replaceable soles). If the sole is worn down a bunch then it will cease to interact with the binding how it is supposed too. you will find this problem with almost every binding out there. As long as you maintain the soles of your boot Look/Rossi bindings are the best out there.
 
Thanks guys, thanks a lot. Well im also going to be getting new boots, this is going to be my first year with all new stuff since i only skied last year on some 140 rossi carving juniors lol with junior bindings and these horibble noridca boots. so yeah...

Axials sounds like a good choice, i was going to the the 140 ti pros, but they were sold out on backcountryoutlet... so it seems like you guys say the axial 120s should be good?
 
You know, you can ask staff in ski shops for advice on this sort of thing and get advice from people who know what they're talking about.
 
Id go with the axial if I were yuou, the mojo 11s aren't nearly as beefy as their 15 din counterparts. Where are you from I see that you listed Ausblick as a home hill. Im from Waukesha and ski Sunburst, Cascade, and tyrol a bunch. Plus I work at Les Moise in Brookfield. Stop in some time.
 
yeah dude i should stop in some time for sure. ill prolly get my binders put on there. seems like you guys know what your doing.
 
I'm not starting another PX/Axial suck (although they do) but you're smaller, so go for it. they'll hopefully work out for you. Haven't for me personally.
