So i'm in charge of planning a school ski trip for my college this year and one of the package deals i've found is to sugarloaf.

I don't know a ton about it besides what the site says, figured i'd come here for some real input.

how are the parks?

how's the snow, is there powder to be found?

how's the night life/ college fest time in particular?

I go to college in Maine and ski sugarloaf a ton. The parks have been getting better and better each year and should be pretty sick this season. As far as powder, you are on the east coast after all. We get a good amount of snow for the east (better than most places, in fact)but the chance that you will get a "powder day" is not huge. That said, the new expansions Sugarloaf has been doing have opened up lots of sick terrain, some of the best on the east coast. So even if there has not been new snow for a little, you will be able to find shit to shred. As far as partying goes, the base area is pretty sweet. The Widowmaker can get super rowdy and the Rack on the access road is fun too. As far as big college weekends go, I don't really know. There is Reggaefest in the spring which is always a good time, but other than that I don't know of any set "college weeks" or anything. The Loaf is a sick place and you will have a good time there for sure. Where else are you looking?

sugarloaf is the best mountain on the east imo. the parks are ill, all the new terrain is sick, the raddest vibe and not too bad for crowds when ive been there. youll have a awesome time no matter when you go

The parks are getting better and better every year. They have haywire which has a 5 jump line and a ton of jibs at the bottom. Stomping grounds a jib park with some small jumps. They just finished a 2 out of 3 expansion of glades called bracket basin. They have the snowfields only above tree line skiing in Maine. They probably get the best pow of all the new england mountains. New high speed quad this year to the summit.

Parks: Getting better but Sunday River's (if you get tickets they're valid at sunday river and sugarloaf, you could ski at sugarloaf then mid day drive to sunday river and ski there. Sunday River is your best bet if you wanna ski park.

Powder: Sugarloaf is great on the pow days, they are just limited. However they have dope trees and brackett basin there new expansion is fucking sick.

Nightlife: Sugarloaf has a village, which is the one thing I wish Sunday River (my home mountain) had, there's a dope party scene, and lots of places to chill.
