Ok guys so heres the situation, my parents and I are planning on a trip skiing somewhere this winter and we've come to 3 options

First off, a 5 day trip to snowbird with my aunt, uncle and 4 cousins

Pros:

-Its my first time out west, so I feel as though it'll be a great experience.

-From what I've heard is great snow and great terrain

-Get to shred with my three older triplet cousins

-Spend time with family

Cons:

-My aunt and uncle are super loaded, and they are going to be staying in a very classy expensive hotel and my family will be in the cheapest thing we can find ( I dont really mind this) but what really sucks is they go heli-skiing for a day, and i will not be able to participate due to the fact its like super expensive.

Second, a 7 day trip to anywhere in new england/east coast.

Pros

-We will be staying slopeside, due to the fact its way less expensive than the other options

-Much less expensive then other options

Cons

-Snow usually isn't as good

-Dont get to venture out of the EC and experience something new

Third, is a trip to stay with family friends at their house near park city utah

Pros

-Avalibitlty to ski at multiple near-by resorts

-Good snow, good resorts

-Free lodging

Cons:

-Wont have anyone around my age or skill level to ski and hangout with

So NS please help me out !

The 1st option would be started the day after christmas, 2nd option would be any time, and 3rd like March-ish

Aunt is my moms sister, shes nice and pretty funny. My uncle is a stockbroker or some shit, funny in more of a crude way but still pretty hilarious, he's kinda big and hefty now but has been skiing for ages. Triplet cousins are 18 ( 3 years older than me ) all really good snowboarders very adventurous, all around pretty chill kids. Little cousin is like 6 and already nasty at skiing he's a funny little guy.

Def go with option numero uno. So that one day you won't get to go heli-skiing, oh well. It'll be fun to chill with your cousins the other days, and since you've never been out west, on their heli-ski day, just have fun exploring the mountain yourself, or with your folks who are most likely paying for the trip. They'll appreciate you hanging out with them, I promise.

This, and skiing with your parents out west is not a problem at all. Like id rather ski with my dad and brother (especially the first time out west)

I did end up going with option number 1 to alta/snowbird. If anyones in the alta snowbird area from december 27th to january 1st hit me up for sure, id love to shred with some NS members while I'm down there.

Definitely 3rd! That sounds like a lot of fun and the lodging is free. You'll love being out west and the experience alone will shadow the fact that there's no one there your age. Plus, that part might not even be true seeing that there will be a ton of skiing kids out there. Just go for number 3 and think about the positives and if you really can't leave your family, go for number 1.

Third!!

I went out West for the first time two years ago with my father and it was a great experience (coming from the EC). I would 100% do it again alone, honestly, it wont even matter when youre on the slopes. As someone ssaid above, Im sure youll be able to find some NSer to hook up with you on the mtn.

Personally I know you already choose but think about how crowded they are going to be thats a major holiday break id do #3. Plus lodgings free

ahh damnit bro im going out to alta the week before christmas probably.....so close. but glad you chose option one. im from the east coast as well and have been going out west for a week every year for about 6 years now. and out of all the places we have been alta is my favorite. got 5 feet of snow in 5 days the week before christmas last year, soooo epic.
