I need some good advice on some good skis

I am crossing the pond after christmas to spend my winter in Whistler BC. I am planning to use my Fischer Atua for park and complement with som semi-fat skis. So the question is: what should I buy if I am planning to do some big mountain but mainly just backcountry?

I am 186 cm and 87kg. As I see it I have got four options.

These are:

Volkl Gotama 190

K2 AK Made´n 189

Armada ANT 191

Scott P4 191

So share me your words of wisdom if you have got some experience of these skis.

PS. If someone has got a hook up for some good accomodation in whistler please contact me.

I don't know alot about the Scotts, but the ANT are the stiffest choice you have, and the Made'n is the softest by a large amount, the Gots are somewhere in between, but getting to the stiffer side...you could also look at the Prophet 130.
 
Thanks for the answers! I have been looking a bit on the Prophet 130. But are not those just for days with waist deep powder? I mean it must be hard to rip steep lines with a 130 waist. Or am I wrong?
 
Eric Pollard rips fuckin' anything with the 130's...Alaska tech lines and all the rest of it too, from what I hear, everyone who has owned a pair, loves them and talks them up alot, so I'm looking to pick up a pair myself, they should rip at everything well.
 
The Gotamas and ANT's are both good skis to look at, it just depends on what sort of flex you want. Personally, I'd rule out the Made'ns (or whatever they call them now) because I think they are waaaaayyyy too soft for any sort of aggressive skiing on snow that's less than 18" deep. But yeah...ANT's if you want something stiffer that you can really charge on, Gotamas if you want more of a mid-flex ski that kicks ass at everything. I know people that use both those skis for backcountry and every day resort skiing and they have nothing bad to say about either so you really can't go wrong.
 
ANTs and the Gotamas would be prime choices you also might want to look into some Atomics like the thug or pimp. just a thought though
 
First of all, those are all great choices. It does however, depend on what you want. The Made'n is a shit load of fun, soft, really fat, amazing in the trees. The ANT is amazing for open bowls, going really fast, and plowing though almost anything. The P4 (I have not skied) but has similar sidecut to the ANT so I imagine they will love to go fast and straight (also heard they are supposed to be stiffer than the Got and Made'n). Gotama is a great all around choice. Little more sidecut this year, little smaller tail, but medium flex and medium sidecut when compared with the ANT/P4 (straight) and Made'n (turny). If you don't have a chance to demo them I would lean away from the Made'n, just cause for your size you might find them too soft. I personally thought the ANT was amazing, and appart from a demo of the P4, it would be my first choice.
 
Go the Ants or Gots. Downside on the Gots is ther white, Upside in the Ants is they rip but the Gots may be better for all day resort.
 
Thanks for the good response! Seems like I almost can rule out the Madens. The Ants seem to be the best choice over all though the EHPs might be a good choice as well. The main reason I have not looked into 4frnt is , from what I have heard, that the quality is not the best. Had a friend who skied VCTs last year and they broke after like one month. But I dont know if it was just that pair.
