I need Race skis...

I need some race skis... What's the best out there for under $1000 (Canadian)? Personal experiences would be cool. I want something fast (of course) that can hold an edge really well and take sharp turns well. The courses here are always groomed pretty hard and it get's icy fast.
 
1 more thing: I'm not buying anything, I just want some reviews on stuff. I really like rossi and salomon (mostly rossi). Hows the gear from rossi this year?
 
rossi always have super solid race sticks.

You cant go wrong with the rooster hah
 
all my race friends ride the Team Race Skis, and they say their real solid skis.

But i got a couple friends who ride the Dyna team skis too, havnt heard anything special about them

Salomon tho? nahhhhh

Try Fischer, those are hot.

Yea I ski GS in the local high-school league, even though it's not really that giant :P

races are held at www.martock.com and www.skiwentworth.ca

Thanks for the help guys, hoepfuly I'll get to demo some of the suggested stuff if I go away anywhere decent. Local hills don't carry much :/
 
Hey I know you said you are not looking to buy here but what the heck... I have a pair of 2 year old Salomon race stock G.s. with some sort of crazy binding plate. 180cm Never been used. These are bad ass.

Too much ski for the average person. I would sell them for 200. Then you would have lots of money left over to buy a new set of twins. Anyways, ya the rossi stuff looks good but in my own personal opinion the Race Lab stuff from Salomon iskick ass.
 
I've got 8 pairs of Atomic team stock from last season, still in awesome shape. I'll sell you GS 11's with 10-18 bindings for 400$ Canadian. Comes tuned and waxed.
