I need new skis , help please

hey guys ,

im 14 years old , about 7 stone , 152 tall and i live in Scotland. ineed new skis

im looking at

Salomon Suspect, Volkl Ledge , K2 Missconducts (i know their girls), 4FRNT TNK and 4FRNT STL

i like the Suspects (151cm) and i need help to choose which skis are best , i dont think ill be able to get the Volkls or the STLs because their in America , but all opinions will go down well

first of all this should be in gear talk...but no worries

second of all, do not get the suspects. For the 09 model, there have been stories after stories about them breaking then not being able to get the warrantied. I'm not sure of anything for the 2010 model but I think you can get a better ski for less money.

Go look at the Line anthem or chronic. Both of those are great cheap skis, every rider I know loves them. The K2 silencer is awesome if you're going for all mountain skiing, its super cheap too. If you want something more on rails, go for the k2 disorderly. If you're willing to spend more $, go for the armada ar6.

If you have any questions about bindings, go look at the rossignol site. I use the Rossi SAS 120 wide bindings and they work great for me. Look bindings are awesome too.

i recentley snapped a pair of line invaders and im still waiting to see if they will get warrantied

my budget is about 230 at max

i cant get most skis in my size either and i feel i need adult skis with solid bases so they wont snap.
 
whats your skill level? are you looking for mainly park, or powder, or all mountain? and if park, what do you focus on, rails? pipe? jumps? or all?
 
ive been looking at volkls for a while but i cant find any british dealers with a good selection of freestyle skis. i think they start at 161 , which might be a bit big
 
if i was you, i'd definetely get some lines. maybe invaders or anthems. pretty cheap, but real good skis
 
pretty much where your feet are not. so anything in front of you bindings or anything behind your bindings would be under warranty. not in between.
 
yeah, i really dont think suspects are that bad, they RIPP on groomers and were like #2 in freeskier. I just got afterbangs, but those might be a little out of the 250 range.
 
i dont see anything wrong with them exept from the warranty issues

one of the guuys i ride with is getting a pair of them but what are they like , are they really flexible ?
 
I haven't heard anything bad about the Salomon Suspects but the Threats are supposed to be terrible for durability. All the reviews I have read on the Suspects have been pretty sweet. The 4FRNT TNKs are also sounding pretty sweet.
