im lookin to buy a new car i have about 16g's to spend tops and im lookin at gettin possibly a 4runner or anything else recomendations? i want a suv around a 4 runners size and used cars are fine. also does anyone no if i bought a 4runer with 70 000 miles + on it that it would still run fine?

4runner last forever. 70k is nothing to worry about.

but if you have fuckin 16g's than you don't need a 4runner with 70k on it

Don't be fooled, it is a Toyota Landcrusier thats a 92' with a Chevy 305 under the hood, if you like going off the road, I'd pick this, or something like it.

Since you said you want an SUV, I'd also look into an old Landrover possibly, personally I'd get either the land cruiser or get a 4runner SR5 with a stick(an slightly older one) and then whatever I saved from the purchase rice i'd drop on a lift kit, some new tires/wheels, and a brush gaurd.

but also I have no clue where in the world you are so this might be far away for you.

also if you want an Audi, they are a good choice but can be pricey to keep running, even though with your budget you could pick up a B5 S4.

just throwing out some ideas.

Are you set on an SUV?

no...but i wnt somethingi reliable if i got it with hihg milage but also a sick car like the audi u mentioned but not a shitty car id rather drive a shitty suv than a shitty car

If you are responsible for regular maintenance/ insurance I would stay away from an S4. If you want an Audi I can get you some links to some 1.8t's that are in good condition, or even some S4's if that would interest you.

As for millage on the engine, as long as it is taken care of, the engine will last you a long time, I've seen

4Runners with well over 200k and on an Audi the best I've personally seen is 300+K, Saabs can get well over 1million apparantly.

So then what are you looking for in a vehicle? Speed, style, getting anywhere you want to go? with your budget there are a lot of options if you know where to look.

well i would like a 4runner size car that isnt terrible on roads and turns since i live in an area with a lot of curves also 4 weel drive and some off road capabilities

Sounds good, I'd go with a 3rd gen 4Runner(96-2002), also you can look at pathfinders, tahoe's, Durrango's, and that'll probably cover that market. If you want something German with similar space look into the Audi Allroad.

I just got a WRX, 2002 with like 70k miles, SUPERB condition. It was 15500 out the door. If you want a car with AWD and also fun as hell to drive, look into them. They are the shit.

Nice choice on the 4runner. With that kinda money I would say pick up a 3rd gen and maybe put a small lift and new tires on it. my friend has a 2001 4runner and it is nice.

I have a 1st gen 4runner, over 20 years old with 240,000 miles, and I love it, no major issues other than a small repair here and there, but for $200 I am wicked happy. but then again, something awd and fast will always be fun

Definitely get a 4-Runner. Shop around and find the best one you can afford, even if it stretches your budget a bit. Toyotas will run forever, and not like the Chevy/Ford "longest running trucks on the road" bullshit. They are tanks, can take a beating and keep on trucking. I sold my 01 Audi A4 1.8t Quattro 5-speed to my dad and got an 03 Tacoma SR5 V6 5-speed about 14 months ago and the only thing I miss is driving fast. Having the truck is definitely more fun on a regular basis. At least for me, I will get my Audi back in a few years.

Take your time, shop around and you won't go wrong.
