I need help please! (medical)

about an hour or 2 hours ago i slammed my face into someone else during jailbreak in gym. my nose immediately hurt and started bleeding... after sitting for a while trying to stop the blood my neck began to get into a lot of pain (which is still is now) idk what to do... i might have broke my nose i might not have... but its still kinda bleeding and my neck KILLS! what do i do? just ice it or go to the hospital

 
what ever you should have done im glad you didnt go to the nurse. It would have been terrible. And why are you asking NS for medical advice?
 
not everyone on here is an idiot.. i am sure out of the 80,000 people on here there is at least one that is into medicin
 
^hhaha yea right, dude just call your doctor person and tell him what happened and they'll tell you what to do or come in and they'll take a look
 
I love how everyone asks NS first before a doctor, anyways ice, maybe whiplash? See a doctor.
 
someone who has been here a while please tell me, is this the first time someone has consulted NS for medical help before a doctor or another qualified source?
 
Hey, I had my nose broken bad in a collegiate rugby match. Going to the hospital was a waste because I found out that they can't fix a broken nose untill the swelling goes down. They usually will check for bleeding problems or bruises and then tell you to come back in a week. they charged me over $300 for walking in the door recording my info and having a Dr. look up my nose and give me an ice pack only to tell me to go away and see a Dr. after the swelling goes down. So, broken or not, ice the nose and your neck and wait a bit - unless you feel some real serious pain or something more severe.
 
You probably strained a neck muscle. Does it hurt when you turn your head to the side or when you look up or down? Where on your neck does it hurt? Does the pain radiate to other parts of your body and do you have any tingling sensation in your extremities?
 
put ice on it and give it a day, you're not going to die from not giving a broken nose immediate medical attention. if it still hurts after a day or two, then go. as far as your neck goes, it's probably just whiplash from the hit.
 
yea i got it checked out... whiplash or a moderate strain in my neck and a possible broken nose.. positive side i am on Lortab! (hydrocodone)
 
Damn that must have felt pretty good.

Anyone ever have that? I mean it happened to me a few times. Where slamming my knee hurt so bad i was laughing.
