I need help landing a 180

i kind of rotated down lech pists 20 y ago when we got tired ( we did the whole slope with it ) of skiing fast - concentrate on your legs muscles keep them tight and simply flatten your edges so you have no effective edge to the snow so you can spin sort of like a trashcans bucket would more like a flat bottom sldege and turn with the body spinning body sidewayscan induce spin with right ski turning clockwise a little angles to other like a v then pull tight if in fakie position or keep them edge on edge here you can fall over ski right if you are not sure i never jumped spinnigly can´t tell you but like the ground thing with little hop

why would anyone take advice from a liar who says that they're sponsored by 4frnt, when they dont have any girls sponsored?

Not to mention joystick.

Is it a new trend on NS to hate on people who hate on newbs? Because as trends go this one doesn't suck. Although it's pretty obvious that just about everyone buying into it is pretentiously and condescendingly trying to look like the "good skier" offering advice to the "bad skier". But still, I don't mind this so much NS. Good work.

Well said. I think a little bit of aloof attitude is a small price to pay for legitimate advice. It is certainly a lot better than this site used to be. I couldn't bring myself to join for a long time, and even after I joined it was over a year before I posted much at all. I like the way the site is moving. I don't know if its better, but it fits my personality better.

i read this and went skiing today and DAMN.

i spun the cleanest slowest and steeziest 180's EVAR.

thanks man for the clearest, most concise and grammatically correct explanation of how to do a 180.

and your word choice made it 1000 times easier to comprehend.

Nope - they are what they are..

tail grab is a tail grab, nose grab is a nose grab.

i think the only reason it is called a safety is because it is the easiest and most stable grab you can do (it doesn't make you stretch out too far and put you off balance)

pratice on the flat ground first and then just try off litle stuff till you get the hang of it...
