i'm the editor of my high school yearbook and i gotta come up with a name based on the theme of our yearbook. we were thinking of doing a theme that basically says that everybody see's high school from a different set of eyes and that everyone has their own interpretation of high school. so we need a name that represents that idea. we were thinking of something like "in the eye of the beholder" but that sayings already been said so were looking for something fresh and new. so i'm seeing if you guys can help me brainstorm a little and give me some ideas.

thanks

but seriously i have nothing for you. i am now 0/2 on helpful feedback for threads

I was the editor of our yearbook my senior year, and we did the whole eye thing that year. I wasn't happy about it, but I got outvoted. Be original, man. Come up with something artistic because afterall being an editor is also about being an original artist.

You're on a mind block because the whole "eye" thing has been done a million times, and it would be almost impossible to be original.

well i was thinking of doing something with the six shades of seperation but i dont know how to spin it into a yearbook theme

Fool around with it. That's what I did for my yearbook. I can't put the image that it's my brain of six shades of color on a page into your brain. Who is your yearbook publisher?

i just thought of "burrowed beneath" for some reason. either than that i got absolutly nothing

there is a simple and effective formula for the best yearbook title ever. simply take the name of your school and add "arctica" to the end. For instance, I went to a school called Shorewood + arctica = Shorewoodarctica. Put some polar bears and penguins on your cover and youre set.

I think you should chuck the whole "eyes" thing. I came up with a great idea. Go look at some titles of old albums or songs(Santana, Allman Bros, Skynyrd, Eagles, etc), and take a title of the album or song and work off that.

Example: Beyond Appearances (Carlos Santana album)

Look at the styles of different people in your school - goths, preps, skaters, emo, etc.

I have a great example of this in my yearbook. I can scan it for you if you want.

Example: One Way Out (Allman Bros album)

"One Way Out" could resemble graduating.

Exit signs could be a theme graphic symbol.

Example: Seventeen Years (Ratatat single)

Most people are 17 when they graduate high school.

Timeline of being a kid - birth to graduating from high school.

I can go on and on and on.

i really like all those ideas

"Are You Experienced" by Jimi Hendrix would work good too

talk about different high school experiences
