So i recently cought a Panasonic hdc-sd100 hd video camera. shot a days worth of footy on it (quality is superb, btw) and that the time came to transfer the footage to my pc. well the footage is aperantly in a file format that is unreadable. the file format is a CPI format. and i need help on how to change it to a playable format for windows movie maker. or if sony vegas pro 9 will acsept this format, im not sure. but basically, if anyone has any useful help it would be sooooo appriceated. +K to the max for legit help. no critism please....

haha same camera same problem good luck using wwm its not gona work the only way i got it to work was from the softwear givven (2.6) export to MPEG2 and then you can but it into wwm but the quality goes to shit worse than regular standard def, it ell work in vegas 9,

vegas 7 and up can handle avchd, however 7only works for sony cameras, for 9 go to file import and scrole to avchd...go from there and you can do it

just out of curiosity i ve been trying to sell mine for a whilenow, it has less than 2 hours on it and is brand new essentually, would you mind telling me how much you payed (pm if you dont wana put it in a thread) and if you can return yours i could hook you up with a killer deal on mine,

also what modes were you shooting in

From what I read, which I didn't read much, you need to convert the camera files to .avi. find the file type the cam saves in and good CAM TYPE HERE to .avi conversion
