"I need fantasy football help" thread

I have a feeling Harvin won't be out there for many snaps this week, since its his first week back. I also think Denarius Moore has a bigger upside than Smith. Smith Just hasn't really produced much this year.

Brady all the way. Although Carolina has been good against the pass, they haven't really faced anyone like Brady this season, so in my eyes, they haven't proven that their pass defense is actually as good as their stats show. And with Gronk back in full form and NE coming off a bye, allowing their receivers to get healthy, I think there is no way they stop Brady.

Also, Miami is actually surprisingly good against the pass. Rivers is just too up and down for me to be confident in him.

I leave Friday to see the bucs, falcons game. So stoked. After this week currently in 1st place in 2 leagues.

I'm in the middle of a bit of a BS trade with a guy in my league that stopped playing. Brees and Lacy for Cutler. IF it is allowed (which it probably won't be) I am real tempted to try and trade Brees and maybe Gonz for Gronk.

@Nectar"I have a feeling Harvin won't be out there for many snaps this week, since its his first week back. I also think Denarius Moore has a bigger upside than Smith. Smith Just hasn't really produced much this year."

I can see that though I am very VERY tempted to start Boykin over both Moore and Smith. Moore is dependent how good Pryor is playing and rumor is that Pryor is not 100%. Boykin showed very good rapport with Tolzien who is getting the start this weekend for Green Bay (I believe Flynn is now on the roster so this might change). Tolzien and Boykin are just like Foles and Cooper. They used to play on the scout team together so they are used to each other.

Harry Douglas or Cecil shorts at wr2? D. Woodhead or Andre brown at flex? Didn't start brown last week and lost by 3

Really need KC's Defense to break Peyton Manning's ankle on like the first play, with demarco murray on the bye week i think thats about the only way im winning this week..

So I need a RB to fill a buy spot. Just need someone for 1 week. My backup RB is Lamar Miller and hes a huge bust. So I want to pick someone up who can get me some decent points this week. Who do I drop?

And which RB do I add, Bobby Rainey TB (vs DET) or Donald Brown IND (vs ARI)

And of my bench, which WR do I play flex.

Idk that's a tough one. On one hand Detroit could easily get out in front of Tampa quickly so they will have to play catch up which usually means less running. But then on the other side Brown is playing against the number 1 D against the run in fantasy. It makes it even tougher that both of them have really only had one standout week, so you have no idea if they can even be consistent.

To me, it's basically a toss up. Sorry that probably isn't much help haha

Now my gut is telling me brown. Atlanta's run defense is a joke, and there is no way Rainey is going to put up those kind of numbers again. I say brown because he is actually an established back and has more potential to be consistent.

no way rainey puts up those numbers again? tampa is committed to running right now. mike james did it twice before getting hurt and was well on his way again (5 carries 41 yards on the first drive) before getting hurt. tampa backs have totaled good numbers in each of the last 4 games. if you have a shot to get rainey, you need to do that. no question. he is their only running option and they want to run. leonard is out there to block and catch check-downs, hes not stealing carries. i like what donald brown is doing ton considering where we thought he was 2 months ago, but he is splitting carries 50-50 at best

Against Tennessee Brown got almost twice as many carries a Richardson. Richardson has blown this season to put it nicely, I have a feeling Brown is gonna start to get a bigger workload.

Being committed to the running game really only comes into play in a close game. If tampa is down by 2 or 3 touchdowns, they aren't gonna run the ball as much, and that is very possible against Detroit. Also, there was a reason he was their number 3 back and was dropped by 2 different teams over the course of the season. He is not a superstar number 1 back.

1 spot, 3 recievers: Anquan Boldin @WSH, Dwayne Bowe SD, Keenan Allen @KC (P)

leaning towards Boldin on a Monday night vs a terrible Redskins secondary. both he and Bowe had nice (unusual) weeks in week 11, and both have good matchups this week, but Bowe doesnt usually get many big yardage chaces. But then again hes the #1 target now. and with Allen's injury + a tough KC D i think he's out

id go boldin. for me allen is out and it be between bowe and boldin.

bowe did get a lot of targets against denver but they were playing a little bit more of an aggressive game plan

kendal wright, cecil shorts or harry douglas at wr2?

andre brown or any of those receivers at flex?

doulas and brown are starting now

Keep douglas and brown in. Brown will light up the cowboys, i mean even the saints running backs got 61 (yes that says sixty-one) points against them two weeks ago.

santonio holmes @ ravens, Or Nate Burleson,Tampa Bay

both coming off injuries, Holmes is boom or bust BUT ravens allow 2nd most TD passes of 20 yards or more. burleson hasnt played since week 3 but TB is bad vs the pass, except for D. Revis who should be occupied by megatron all day, freeing up burleson potentially for stafford who throws it like 40 times a game.

I am pretty much in a must win situation and i am projected to lose vs the 2nd ranked team

im fucked j.thomas probably wont play and there are no other options out there. which denver tight end would get the most playing time if thomas is out? dressen?

I really hope he plays because I didn't play Olsen earlier today.

And fuck, I should have played Wallace. I was about to right before the game..

lynch and giovanni bernard are both on bye week so i started darren sproles and picked up donald brown. those two combined got me ...-0.10 points this week wtf?????Josh gordon got me 29 today though so thats pretty sick and i am up by 50 and he has 3 players to play. i couldnt believe i had that many points when i got home from work i thought i was fucked for sure

so i really need a win this week. pretty much my whole division is 7-5 or 6-6.

this is my starting lineup

stafford

bush

cj2k

torrey smith

harry douglas

j.thomas

andre brown

bengals dst

garret hartley

bench

steven jackson @Buffalo

d.woodhead @cin

shane vereen @houston

percy harvin @ new orleans

nate burelson @ gb

and chiefs dst

i sat woodhead and jackson last week and they both did better than my starting rb but cinncy is solid and i just dont trust atlanta at all. but i like steven jackson and the way he ran last week.

any suggestions is wonderful

I'll say that I've clinched a playoff spot before I ask for advice.

1. I picked up McFadden 3 weeks ago in hopes he would come back by the playoffs (which I pretty much clinched 3 weeks ago). He's listed as questionable for the week, but really my only other option is Ridley as back 2 (Moreno is my RB1 andy put up almost 30 last week…also listed as questionable but hasn't been out yet like McFadden). Should I start a questionable McFadden or wait to see if all those dropped balls are going to keep Ridley on the bench indefinitely?

2. RGIII has been unpredictable for me, he's had huge games but he also scored only 5 last week and threw an interception that lost me the week (by 1 point), should I start Eli (on my bench all season) has has been consistently mediocre at about 10-15 points?

3. Looking forward, should I hold on to KC-D for the playoffs or try to make some acquisitions ahead of time. They were outrageous until the late season and I'm hoping they'll start producing in the 15-20 point range for my first playoff matchup which is going to be tough.

4. Same question with Jordi Nelson, should I just drop and try to pick up some options because he doesn't have a reliable QB to throw to him or should I hang on and see how he does this week.

at rb i have morris, levon bell, giovani bernard, rainy and steven jackson for wr i got dez, desean and wes. pick 2 wr 2 rb, then a flex spot

Id go Bernard and Morris then dez and Wes. Kc Dst is banged up and has not been able to stop slant routes which Wes runs well. Arizona Dst is my to e messed with they're legit. For flex you could throw desean in if you need a lot of upside. Actually id still play him over your other rbs

yea thats what i was thinking. Foles of RG3. this game is huge, if i win, im in the playoffs, if i lose then im out. Im thinking roles because he has been putting up consistant points unlike rg3 or puts lots of pts or no pts up

Need some help here guys. Do I play Anquan Boldin after a solid last week, C.J Spiller, Bobby Rainey, or Chris Ivory at flex? Pick 1

id play boldin or spiller. spiller got a bye week to get completely healthy and he is still a very talented back. but i feel like boldin and san fran is starting to click

I'd lean toward Douglas. With Roddy White barely playing and a weak Buffalo secondary he is going to be ryan's primary target.

#2 this week, #1 last pretty good. now if the browns could get a half decent qb who makes less mistakes the browns might actually win some games.i have gordon as well, the guy i played has decker, 4 tds. fuck me

I did. Barely. Our league was a lot more competitive this year. Ended up 7-6 an snuck in by a head to head pt differential I think.
