i never said i hated it the salomons will still relase upwards out of the toe if you put the right tourque on them and a slow twisting fall it doesnt matter cause no binding will relase most likley
not saying slow twisting fall, talking about backward twisting falls (which can be sudden, slow, anything) which are most devastating to knees. just look at the damn toe pieces. some can twist that way, others cannot.
Any din above 6 makes the rotation pointless??? ive had mine at 10, popped out in a crash, only to come back to my skis with the wing of the toepiece rotated 90 degrees. it did its job even at that higher din
i didnt mean the rotation is pointless at all what i meant to say is that above 6 din in a slow bacward twisting fall the upward toe relase may not do its job
that rotation will save your ass in a sudden backward fall for sure all im trying to say now is that in a slow backward fall its not likley that any binding will save your ass much more than the other
ha diffenrt bindings of the same model will operate in differnt ways so i guess its not something i can argue over because every single binding (even of the same year and make) will operate differntly
and if you do, you shouldnt be little twig kids with no meat on you to take a solid fall. if u know how to stack properly (this comes from skiing and aussie rules football experience)you should be able to manouvre your body properly that no matter what happens with your binding, you shouldnt get get more than a few bruises on a big fall.
and i know i sorta just did the same, but u guys who are arguing like douches, just hijacked his post and havnt really given him any good answers yet.
The new look an rossi binsders are pretty much teh gayest thing ever it's just notgood for jumps since it alway release when you dont want them to.
As far as the races stocks, p15 p18 fks150 fks185 well teh turntable is teh reason why they work since the toe piece dont move as much asinn pretty much any other bindings.
The heel peice still break sometimes but hey it's a binding it happens.
The salomon racestock bindings are pretty tought but their din range isnt as good as the look racestocks.
Anyway any bindings that goes over 10 can be dangerous for your kneesunless you have really small boots on.
I suggest you p15 ifyou tend on breaking bindings alot or salomon 916 if you wanna ride at 12 and have a bombproof binding.
I still believe you wont reallyneed the p18 and if you can get a 15 or s916 at the same price, go with it, it's gonna be safer for you knees.
