ok so i know everyones gonna say that if i was a hard core skier i would just "suck it up and ski". but i snapped my thumb in half and the doctor said i cant ski for the rest of the year. i have a park city trip planned for spring break and in all honesty i need to know what i should do-(risk it all and go to pc) or (save myself for next year).

by the way i typed this all with one hand so dont make this thread a waste.

wrap you thumb in Duct Tape, using pop-sickle sticks to provide support. Then, Take a spoonful of wasabi mustard and rub it in your eyeballs while Riverdancing on stilts. If that doesn't fix your problem...Well then, just suck it up and ski.

is it gamekeepers thumb, like you hurt it by your pole or did you break it? Usually, for gamekeepers thumb, when you tear the ligaments inbetween your thumb and first finger, usually by falling awkward on your pole, they give you a cast up to the elbow...if you have a cast, ski all you want...if not, I would ask a doctor about what the best way to tape it up would be so you can at least cruise around with your friends...

get a metal splint and wrap in around super lots with tape and just go have fun on the smaller stuff.

last year i skiied like half the year with 3 broken knuckles and a broke thumb you really shouldnt be that worried about it still go to pc bro

no way dude! do not sit this one out. get out there and get some pow. try getting a soft cast, hard cast, one of those thumb cast. just dont go too crazy

i say go but just take it easy and enjoy the west coast you would be susprised it really nice just taking it easy and looking around ya

right now I have a broken thumb, and it was almost heeled and at this big air comp i wasn't wearing the thumb brace/guard, and I landed on my thumb awkwardly and re hurt it to its maximum again...I would just try to get a thumb guard/or hard cast and do whatever you feel comfertable with.

search online for an ancient tradition to fix it. like drinking tea with leaves in it or some shit. and if that doesnt work the gods dont want you to ski.

(note the lack of racism by not stating chineese etc.. tradition)

Yeah I skid throughout the season of when I was in 5th grade with a gnarely broken thumb. Just get the cast and youll be fine.......I think.

i skis on a broke thumb before and it was alright, hurt a bit cuz i fell on it like 12 times but other than that its good

Just get a splint with metal in it and you should be ok. I had one of those on for 6 weeks a couple years back and you can fall on it as hard as you want and it won't hurt at all.

the x rays show that mt thumb is completly broken and today i got it realined*(OUCHHHHHH)so i have a hard cast on it. i think im just gonna ski
