yeah i got rossignal scratch fs twin tips and i am stuck. i can ski backwards really good but i am afarid if i try a 180 i will eat it? help?

try just jumping off flat ground and doing a 180 because you probably can, then try them off jumps

just carve a bit, then pop a little and keep lookin at the ground. Thats all there is really. And you will probably wreck, it happens when you learn things. Good luck tho.

work on them on flat land or going slowly down a hill, then get used to landing backwards. find a smaller jump to practice them on, ull get them, dont worry.

super easy. i learned 1s back when i only skied a few times a year. just like try standing there and jumping up and doing a 1

if you wanna get it, try on like small hills and just try jumping without jumps.or on small ones. once you get small ones master the small n go for big

sexist much?

just go for it, like someone else said, do it o flat first then just do it off a jump

Id say just build a tiny jump on whatever hill you can find. That way no matter how bad you do, jou can keep going till you get it. you really dont need like a hill at all. hen I first learned, there was no hill at all, so we had to skate up to the jump, but you dont need like any air for one. Plus all you need is a tiny bump to 180 off of. Sorry if you were looking on actual tips for the trick. All i can offe rin the way of that, is that It works better for me if I land with my feet kinda wide, and dont lean back too far

dont carve. try off little stuff, work your way up. I started doing off little stuff then just popped one off a booter in the park. So easy. Look over your shoulder and just pop it.

flattish ground, not much speed, pop real hard and turn ur body. itl feel natural pretty quick.

welcome back from the dark side.

C is for commit.

if you're having trouble committing to landing backwards -- it can be scary when you're blind in the air and just spotting your landing -- try a 360 first and see how that goes. and if you underrotate you got your 180 anyway. probably.

i learned them on flat ground then like jumpin off cat tracks and stuff the other day i just hucked one in the park and it was really easy except on my 2nd one i was leanin too far forward and ejected from my bindings and hit my head so dont do that

bust them off the ground, then off a mogul (not into another mogul tho) then a small jump, then a bigger jump

don't be a douchebag and help her out.

just pop off a small jump and spin and you'll get it. you just have to have some confidence and commit. good luck

dont be a dick dude

keep your stance wide and find a small jump or roll over bump on a trail. when you do spins turn your head dont keep it straight

start by doing it offa the knuckle first, and then just go for it off of a small jump, and as you get better at them, add in grabs and go towards bigger jumps

its just like buttering around switch. not too hard, you can do it. its easier to learn 360's first so you don't have trouble with that rotation later.

make sure you are comfortable riding switch first...then just try it off everything small, any rollers or small mogules on the hill...just pratice it, once you get it down u can do a 180 of pretty much any thing...even pitch changes on the hill

just like go to a toboggan hill and build a jump to get them learned, and its one of those things that you can probably do but you dont know it yet so you just haveta get comfortable off something then give it a shot

While skiing ona blue or something hop up and rotate backwards. It gives you the feel of it, and it's sorta fun. Do this a bunch then try it on some small jumps. Good luck!

shit, i forgot everyone on here has won the x games 17 times each and are the top skiers in the world, just give her some advice or say nothing, not everyone started pulling 10's straight away, there might even have been a chance that you had to learn to do a 180? maybe not tho

just gotta (wo)man up. the spin is not difficult, you just kind of float it out. when you land keep you feed a bit wide and let you knees give so you have a low center of gravity (harder to fall). start on a small jump, work your way up

its all about COMMITMENT! just think in your mind im doing a 180 off this fucking jump and just rotate right when you hit the lip.  if its a small jump it should be hella easy because even if you don't make it all the way around you can scrub out of it easy and ski away. if u fall so what, it wont hurt.   Now 3's are a different story.

What you need is the smallest jump you can find, not a roller, but a jump thats about 30-40 cm high and has a smooth knuckle so it doesnt matter how far you fly.

Hit the jump a couple of time straight and slowly. Until you figure out the right speed. Then walk back up, take your skis off, and jump a 180 on flat ground on your ski boots. Do it 20 times. Memorize the motion. Then put your skis back on and hit the jump slowly and repeat the exact same motion.

The first time you will land sideways but just slide it out. Walk back up. Take your skis off again, jump a few 180s on flat ground, put your skis back on and try it on the kicker. After a couple of times you will have it.

Once you have it start doing it off little bumps and off the side of the slope. After a while you'll be able to do them off flat ground and off big kickers. They will become really easy, but you gotta practice and practice and practice.

find a really small feature of to the side of a trail or a small hip like bump( i found learning on flat ground was harder). while approaching keep a wide stance, it might help if you wind up your arms a bit. while going off commit to then spin then land, the first few times you land you might find yourself going into kind of a snowplow or pizza slice position preventing yourself from riding out but you can fix that easily after you have the complete spin downpat.

a little trick for doing 180's that i learned is just lift the ski on the opposite side that u are spinning, start rotating that ski, then lift the other one into the air and it should follow.
