I need a math wiz's help!

Good luck. I'm sure there are many people on this site that can do it, but it's pretty tideous. You'd have to be pretty bored to do it for no reason.

i got (x^4+8x^2-16x+7)/(x^8-1), but i didn't spend a lot of time on it or check it so make sure im right.

Simplified:

((x^2-1)e^2(-2x+6)-(-x^2+7x)(2) (x^4x)2/((x^2-1)e(4x)

Uhm, the way I read that equation, the denominator cancels out, so no one should have division in their final answer. Once the denominator is eliminated its a matter of simplification.

Take note:

the denominator is (((x^2-1)^2)^2)

and

the first term in the numerator is (x^2-1)^2

and

later in the numerator there is another (x^2-1)

thus (if my bogus math skills serve me right)

part of the numerator translates into the denominator "(((x^2-1)^2)^2)"

thereby

the denominator is cancelled out.

hahaha... I think.

So then only this should be left: (-2x+6) - (-x^2+6x-1)(2)(2x)

You can go from there.

But whatever, fuck math, and fuck me for contributing to NS's stupidest math thread of all time.

u just wasted 2 minutes of my day.....i started but realise i fucking missed a negative sign near the start and i got really frustrated but then it occurred to that 'its not my work, i really shouldnt care'.....and now i'm not worried at all

 
Haha, for all the 1600 SAT scores on here, you guys cant do 8th grade math too well. Put that into a ti 86 and wham, CORRECT answer.

Hey thanks to some of you guys who actually tried to help. I eventually figured it out. Although i couldn't figure out how to do it with my calculator. And it is my Calculus class in grade 12 (senior). Thanks agian.

 
I don't see where the calculus is in that. Its just algebra. However, it is said that you only really learn algebra in Calculus. I forget where you really learn Calculus. As far as I can see, because of that minus sign you should still have a denominator, but it will be one less power.
